Hi everyone. I just found this forum, and it looks like I have found a home. I am single, live in East Texas and have been in RVs since my kids were small. We had pop-ups, and I finally got my motorhome when they all left home. I currently have a Class C, and take off on trips alone and with my grandson. I also get comments about how "brave" I am, but I figure I shouldn't have to be housebound just because I am single. I would love to hear from you all, and especially about great trips you have taken and singles groups that are not matchmakers. Thanks, Carole

Welcome welcome Carole, you sound just like one of us! You'll be hearing from Joella, as she is from Texas. It is such a small state I'm sure you will know each other! lol. Our members go all over, Sharon took a trip to Alaska and sent wonderful pictures back. Others have gone to Mexico. Most of us tootle around the States. I've been to Colorado and Florida. I'm taking off soon for Arizona where I'll be Workamping. This is a great forum for good information, advice, and laughs!! 1984 Class A Allegro(Miss Piggy) Jean the Scot Bogie the Pit (rescued) Shona the Calico Cat

Hi, cardavis, and a big east Texas welcome to you. I started out in Nagadoches almost 53 years ago. Now I live in south Mississippi. Glad you feel at home here, I did to when I joined and I just get more comfy as time goes by. A Friend is one who strengthens you with prayers, blesses you with love, and encourages you with hope. Hi and Welcome.
I love TX and try to get there for a bit most years, even if it's just to enjoy and visit on my way through to other places.
Glad to have you with us.
Carole, you have pm disabled. If you enable it, I can send you info on a single's rv group that is NOT a dating group.
Smiling is contagious - try it!

Welcome - I'll be traveling through Texas in a few weeks, heading down to South Padre for a week. I plan on looking at RVs along the way. My daughter was stationed in San Antonio for three years and during that time Texas became my second home. Sandy and Bella (da dog)

Carole, Welcome! Although we are at opposite ends of the country you just never know. We might be on neighboring sites in some campground someday or at some GTG (get-together). I'm glad you are going to be on the road!
I belong to the singles group that Bethers mentioned,.. a nice group of friends, and definitely NOT for dating or hooking up in any way except in friendship. I recommend it.
This group of women are great. You will certainly feel comfortable and welcomed here. Cedar '02 Ford Escape '04 Chalet Arrowhead (C-->)

Wow, thanks for the welcome! I would love to hear about the singles group. I have looked at (but not joined) Loners on Wheels and RVing Women. The local RV groups are small and active, but they are mostly older couples (listen to me.....I AM OLD too at 65), and they get together on weekends to do potluck and play dominoes. I am not good at either.
To fill in some more info, I just came back from Florids with my new RV, and I traded by 200l Roadtrek for it. The Roadtrek is the most marvelous vehicle for singles, but with my rapidly growing Grandson and my large dog Pepper, we just didn't fit.
Anyway, I am just West of Tyler, TX, and just East of Canton. For those who don't know- Canton hosts the world's largest flea market called Trade Days. Hope you all come visit!!!!! :) Carole
