Welcome, Laura. This is a fun place and I hope you'll post a lot.
I lived in Oregon for 35 years and went to grad school st Seattle University, making the round trip from Portland to Seattle once a week, graduated in 2003. In which part of Seattle do you live? "Live well, laugh often, love much."

I'm actually not IN Seattle itself but from the west side of Puget Sound. I have a tiny farm there and raise Romney and Coopworth sheep as well as attend college (for the second time), studying medical assisting.
As for being from WA, originally, I'm from Alabama, more or less. I was born in VA, grew up in MS and AL, moved to Maryland to the D.C. suburbs and from there moved to WA about 8 years ago or so. Yes, I get around. ;)
We just bought our first travel trailer, a 2004 Skyline Nomad in very good condition; tricked out to the nines by the former owner although we didn't know it at the time. After taking our maiden voyage last weekend, we realized just how many improvements were made to this trailer that we shall reap the benefits thereof. :) Makes one positively beam to think about it. :) One hubby Three cats Umpteen sheep 26' Skyline Nomad

Laura, Greetings. I was in your neck of the woods the middle of Nov. Went to Port Townsend for the ferry to Whidby. Guy in the booth just grinned when I pulled up in the motorhome, towing the ranger (ca ching). We stayed a couple of nights in Oak Harbor... with the most rain fall, since they have been taking records. At least I know that the unit does'nt have any leaks! Do love your area, have lived in Oak Harbor and Anacortes, LOVE the east side of the penninsula.
I know what you mean about a previous owner doing good things to your rig. My last two rigs were used and had nice, well made, little touches. This new rig is well new and I'm a little hesitant about drilling, gluing, nailing, pasting.... you get the idea :confuse:
Any who... welcome Sue "Not all who wander are lost"

Welcome! I haven't been around this form long myself, but I can tell you it is a great place to hang out. It sounds as if you and your hubby were lucky with the camper purchase. I'm glad you are enjoying it.
I'm one of the single ones,.... and sort of retired, but working on a short term thing at my local school as an 1-1 aide with an 8th grader. I like being "sort of" retied as I get the best of both worlds!
So welcome aboard, and I look forward to getting better acquainted with you! Cedar '02 Ford Escape '04 Chalet Arrowhead (C-->)

Laura Welcome. I'm new too so lurk here for tips and tricks so I won't be such a 'fool' when I embark as a full timer. What kind of things did the former owner do to your rig? I'm making a list of things I need to look for when I go looking to make a purchase, and making my list of things that I want to do once I call it home, so the little touches interest me.
Cedar....and anyone else. I 1 on 1'ed when I subbed, now I am a classroom aide at a school for kids with severe behavior problems. love it/hate it all at the same time. Looking forward to the day when I can say I don't HAVE to do it any more. getting my ducks in a row

Hey Laura and Tom Welcome Welcome Welcome.... I too have a DH and am fairly new. Got my coach 2 years ago, am originally from Maine, now live in sunny SoCAL, am a former Navy sailor, have never been to WA; however hope to get there someday. Planning on retiring in about 8 years, God willing and the creek don't rise, and start traveling as much as possible. The women in this forum are very supportive, extremely humorous, and keep you on your toes from links with valuable resource info, to real tacky and real funny jokes, great pictures shared, and are always willing to take you along on their adventures through daily postings of their travel day. Congratulations on your travel trailer. I have a class A I purchased new, and I, like susan-y, am a bit reluctant/worried about drilling, gluing, nailing and pasting. Just keeping it simple right now. You won't have to worry about guys hitting on you here, a good thing, unless like Sparkle you want someone to (tee hee hee)...Sorry Sparkle the devil made me do it :eg: Oh, don't post pictures of your brother either...these women will swoop on em if you're not careful...LOL....JUST KIDDING!! :p So come on in, sit down a spell, be sure to check out some of the awesome recipes, but beware...I think I've gained weight just reading them :) Hope you get as much out of this wonderful group as I have and continue to every day. Again...warm Welcome.
