Hi everyone,

Moxie invited me to come and chat here. Don't know if she's here tonight. I have a class B PleasureVan. Just me and my two little Chihuahuas. We have done some trips within 3 hours of home. I live in Sacramento, CA. Looking to get away next weekend (October 8-10). Stressful week. We were walking Sunday night around the block and were attacked by a pit bull. Little 4 month old Pete was hurt but is recovering from surgery. Tinkerbell and I are a bit shell shocked and skittish right now. Looking for a safe environment for a calm getaway.

Hi Alice!

Welcome to the forum, so sorry to hear about your poor doggie getting hurt. I was almost attacked by 3 Chow's one day while walking so I know how frightening it must have been for all of you....I still say Thank God for the lady in the pickup truck who helped me out! BTW, my name is also Alice! I haven't met many other Alice's...except when I lived in San Antonio. There it seemed like every other woman was Alice LOL Please do come chat some night...there is a link in Joella's signature that is an easy way to get there from here!

Hi Jan,

Pete had a checkup today and is healing well. The stitches come out next Tuesday. Tinkerbell and I are still a bit on the nervous side when we see big dogs. There were 3 pit bulls at the vet's office today. I had to ask one to pull his back so we could go by. The guy said his pit was super sweet. That may be true but the dog also had on a giant spiked collar. Is that collar suppose to represent sweet?

Planning a trip for next week but maybe not too far from home. I was thinking either the delta area or Placerville. Still working on it. The 3 of us need some peace for a few days.

Hi Sheila,

Thank you for your concern. The puppy is healing well. The 2 dogs are playing tug of war with a stuffed whale. So cute. I would like to go to Utah again. Was there many years ago. Right now work is keeping me busy until the end of the year. Hope next year slows down.
