Hey there...I"m so brand new, I don't even have an RV yet, but I'm researching and planning for future on the road!! I went ahead and joined this group so I can learn from the "experts":) I'm divorced, kids are grown and gone, so its just me and the pug(we don't use the d-- word).....so I'll be traveling alone. It will probably be a few more years before I can fulltime, but I'm looking to buy sooner than later so I can travel part-time to get a feel for living. Looking forward to meeting some of you and learning the ropes.

I would love advice, comments, suggestions from one and all. I really like the looks of the Roadtrek...does anyone have any experience with those. I think I want to start with a Class B...

Keep those posts coming...I love reading your adventures...living thru ya'll for now. And yes, btw, I'm from South Texas...

Blessings to you and yours

Welcome, Carol!! We are SO happy to have you join us. There are a lot of wonderful, friendly, good gals on this Forum. Many have Class B motorhomes, some have a B+... I'm looking for a B or C. We just sold our Class A.... as will be traveling alone, due to husband's health issues, and don't need one that large for just me.. Smaller means less gas to use it!! I am looking for a used, low mileage RV.

It just so happens we are having a get-together soon in Schertz, TX....(near San Antonio). At the moment I don't have an RV --- so I've rented a cabin at the RV park... the only one they have. There are motels right down the highway from the RV Park and you could come join us and get to meet a lot of the Texas girls.

The Rally is at the Stone Creek RV Park... HERE

Rally is the weekend of November 19,20,21.
If any of you gals are reading and are interested--- You are ALL very welcome!! Love to have you! When calling tell them you are with The Flamingos, for the cut-rate Flamingo Rally price.
If you don't have an RV by then, rent a room nearby, join us and get to know a lot of the gals.
Our friends, Sue and Karen are sponsoring this Rally--- and below is the info on cost from Sue.
We will have free use of the rec hall as long as we have a minimum of 10 rigs. I do have to put down a $100 deposit to reserve the rally room, so hopefully we will have the minimum or I will be passing the hat! At this time the group rates are $26.50 for 10-14 rigs; and $24.50 for 15 or more, plus $2 extra for 50 amp service.
Where in Texas do you live? I live in Bellville, west of Houston.
Thanks for joining us and for posting... NEAT to have you. Come back often and let us get to know you.
Happy RV hunting! Join us in Schertz!!!

Actually, I live in Hondo, which is just an hour from the area you'll be. I had seen that post and wondered if I might be able to come to that (even though I'm not a RV owner yet). I'd love to come and meet you. Thanks for the quick response. I'm really excited about this new season of my life!!

Welcome Carol! So nice to have you join us. I joined before we had our motorhome and have learned so much from these ladies. Still learning after a little over two years of full-timing.

Looking forward to many posts from you as you hunt for just the right one.

Welcome neighbor!

I'm just north of you in Kerrville, and I just happen to have a Class B Roadtrek :) Would love to meet you and talk rigs :)

I have a friend here now from FL that just purchased an RT from Ronny Bock's RV. Too bad she is leaving tomorrow. But I'd be glad to answer any of your questions and give you a tour of mine. Just PM me any time.

Hi and welcome to the forum. Joella emailed me and said I should check this thread. I've been bad about checking the newbies lately. We would love to have you join us in Schertz. You can PM me with any questions and please let me know if we can expect to see you there. Its a great bunch of gals.

I'm from "deep" south Texas - Edinburg to be exact - down in the Rio Grande Valley. A friend of mine who is also contemplating buying a small class B is thinking about coming with me. So you won't be the only one without an RV.

Please join us, and welcome to the forum.
