New to the forum. Been watching from the sidelines for some time. RV's much easier to drive than this computer. Will try to remember to join the chat some evening. Is that daylight saving time or regular? Get so confused what with Arizona ignoring the daylight thing. You know you can't cut off a foot from the top of the blanket and sew it to the bottom to make it longer.

Howdy Kathryn!! So delighted you have left the sidelines and joined in on the game.... how nice to have you on our team!!

I'd say you are doing OK driving your computer...you posted on the newbies post with Avatar photo, which is an accomplishment.

Do you live in AZ? What kind of RV do you have, I'm assuming a motorhome, but that's just a guess. Do you travel a lot.. Are you a full-timer? Do you travel alone or with someone? Do you travel with pets? Do join us in chat--- we'd love to have you!

Post again and tell us all about you so we can get to know you, and share our traveling experiences.

Happy RVing!

Joella

To tell all my rv tales would take too long. Short version: Started rving as a kid staying in my uncle's home made trailer for a month each summer (1935). Then as a young married couple as husband trained horses and we raced in NY, Chicago, Florida etc. Later camping with the kids and finally went full time in 1992. Husband passed away 2001. Have a Safari Simba MH now and new sweetie. I do all the driving as Al has macular degeneration and can no longer drive. We spend half the year in Tucson, AZ but go camping with GS club each month. Head for New Mexico mountains for summer.

You have been full-timing a long while!! I know you have thoroughly enjoyed it!

Where do you go in New Mexico? We've not been traveling much in two years due to health issues-- but now those are resolved, and we have done some thinking about going to the mountains of New Mexico. It will probably be summer before we can catch up on chores here, and be free to go--- and will be wanting to escape the heat of summer.

We live in a small town west of Houston and gets hot and humid here.

Milt and I travel with our almost 3 year Dachshund sisters.. We have a motor home and are looking forward to hitting the road.

Happy Rving!

Joella

Hi Jomilt, We go to Rose Valley RV Ranch in Silver City, NM for the summer to escape Tucson's 100+ temps. It is about 5000 ft. altitude so the weather is about 10 or 15 degrees cooler than Tucson. Dry heat with cool nights. Real nice park! Roomy spaces, free hi speed Internet! Due to health problems, we need to do less roaming. Love the town. If you come up that way, let me know. Would love to meet you. We travel with our cat, Cheetah.

Welcome Kathryn! You've done what many here only dream about - and good for you! And you in fact seem to have mastered the forum - at least to be able to post! We're a great group of women and it is just wonderful to roam around and meet them. I'm a full-timer, but only since last year. I have, however, RV'd since I was 5 months old - in 1951. It's in my blood, as it seems to be in yours! Hope we meet one day! I'd like to pick your brain about a few things! LOL In the meantime - welcome!

Hey, Kerry, I see you were in Quartzsite last winter. So was I, along with thousands of others. We go every year for a short stay, meet friends, relatives, etc. Looks like you were there for the big storm. That was a bad one. so much wind!!!!! Did you camp with the RVA group? Maybe next January we can meet. Would be fun. We go at the time of the RV show in January.

Hi and welcome. Don't know what happened to my first response, so I'll try again. Sounds like you've done quite a bit of traveling and enjoy it. My DH and I have been traveling full time for a few years now. We were in Silver City last year and thoroughly enjoyed it. In fact, a friend is workkamping at the KOA there for the next 4 months. I know you'll enjoy this group-friendly and informative. Looking forward to your posts and pics. carold
