I’m back. My plan was to buy and travel in a class B in 1-2 years and things speeded up and I’m doing it within 6 months. I rented my apartment ( in my own 5 family apartment house ) on Dec.1 and my daughter (who lives 45 mins. away is now apartment manager. ? complications came on because I had a torn meniscus and I had it operated on Dec.1st at Mass. General in Boston than stayed at my daughter for 3 days and it felt OK ?(non driving knee) and with pain pills. I left Mass. On Dec. 4th and headed south. I threw everything I maybe could use into my roadtrek as I was downsizing . I still have about 5 boxes and basic bedroom furniture in my basement but did get rid of about 80% of stuff at the house and in the last month got rid of a lot of extras in the van. My trip south had a lot of stops in motels (because I was taking it easy on the knee) , I thought I was going to rest up at Leesburg ,Fl. with a ?boyfriend but it didn’t work out and I left for the last time after 4 hours there. I did travel slow and cleaned up the van and got to Austin ,Tx ,week before Christmas. I have it easy because I am staying with a girlfriend that works for FEMA so I am staying in a luxury hotel with free breakfast and free happy hours.
Anyway I will be leaving here in a few days and meet up with everyone at Quartzite . I hope to be more active on the board soon.

I'm going to start my purging process in must a bit - like today I'm going through a bathroom! It must be exciting to have it under your belt, and to be underway! I'm sorry the bf stop in FL didn't work out! But you seem to have just moved on - literally and figuratively! Congratulations! Enjoy the journey and all the gals in Q!

Hi Gayle
I have been "dealing" with a torn meniscus on my left knee for several months and do not think I want surgery on it, so I continue to feel the pain especially when I walk downhill. Glad you are doing so good.
I was in Q at the same time as the gtg but never found them. Oh well, maybe next year???
Where are you traveling now?

Next time we have a GTG we need to have a phone # where everyone can check in! We missed several of the girls who were there when we were. :(
