I am also surprised at the number of women!!! Wow, I thought I would be all alone, if I ventured out!
I will be travelling for work along with 2 cats! I am an independent contractor. I am tired of leaving an apartment in my "home area" empty-wasted money AND especially tired of hotels, reward programs or not!
I traveled as a nurse before with my ex-husband and we had a 36' 5th wheel, very nice. So I know that I could full-time and be comfortable.
But I really don't want to buy a truck when my Honda Accord is paid for!!! To say a little imtimidated by the thoughts of towing and setup...a little more than I can take, at this time.
The Full Time disscussion board is great but this one is from my perspective, thanks again so much for the invitation and I look forward to "meeting" everyone.

Well how rude of me!!! I'm Jennifer!! I travel with 2 cats- Lou and Lucy!! I turned the big 40 this year and divorced without children, however I became an aunt earlier this year!
As stated earlier I travelled with the ex as a nurse and enjoyed, but never thought I would do it with anesthesia, but things happen! The goal is to remain travelling- or locums- for at least 2 years to pay off debt and setup retirement; well that's the accountant teams goal anyway!
I am almost done in Knoxville, TN; I've been here for 12 weeks and headed home to work locally for the month of October. Looking for a contract to finish the year/spend holidays close to home. Then close the apartment and head to wherever! Whether I've made the jump to a camper will remain to be seen!!
Gotta tell you, I thought towing the motorcycle to Knoxville was brave(or dumb) and here ya'll do it all!!! WOW!!!

Welcome Jennifer! This lifestyle can be addictive. Our founder Kay Peterson of the Escapee club was a traveling Nurse. As much as the fuel prices are putting a pinch in alot of our plans there are so many ladies enjoying the beauty that surrounds us, such a calming effect in our lives.Enjoy
