Hello All: My name is Marda. I am 67, single, live in Shelton, WA and just bought a 1991 16' Kit Monterey TT. I am still learning where everything is on it and have to get a hitch for my TV before I can use it. I have been lurking around your forum and have found out quite a bit already but have much to learn. I have a Golden Retriever (outnumbered by 5 cats)who will be traveling with me when I finally get to go.
When my feet hit the floor in the morning the Devil shudders and says,"Oh crap; she's awake!"

Thank you. It was neat talking to you on Chat. Hated to leave but when I am online too long my puter complains til I shut it down and let it rest  Like me, it is getting older and crankier.

Welcome, Marda!! You are 10 years my senior and have five cats with you (whereas my two are staying home) and your dog likely could eat my 13 pound shih tzu for breakfast, BUT....it seems we are at a similar stage of life LOL. I bought a second hand big motor home and worry I may never master all the gadgets before my EDD (estimated date of departure), Jan 1/09.
I shall be watching your progress and growth closely from my vantage point not far away on Vancouver island....:) Intermittently, I still get 'cold feet' but reading the threads here and especially the ladies on chat make it all sound so eminently do-able and so wonderful as well!!
jan I care very little about where I am going, so how can I be lost?

Thank you all for the welcome. I hope to get to know you in person someday as well as on the forum. It has been many, many years since I towed anything and it is a bit scary to think about it but I am determined. It will be a while before Monty and I can head out due to lack of funds after buying the trailer but want to go to AZ for a couple of weeks next spring if possible.
