Hi all - I found this forum years ago and used to peruse it once in a while. At the time, my husband viewed any kind of activity as a drain on his life. Anyway, now I'm 6 months seperated and starting to feel good at last, and beginning to plan my own future. I'm 56 years old and I love to be outdoors, on the go, and see new places and meet new people. I really want an RV, and with the current gas situation, not to mention my not so great income, I think I will be starting out with a class B van conversion. I've been researching on the web and I've been to the RV shows, and all I want is a tiny, self contained RV for me and my 14 pound mutt. I loved the ones at the RV show and I've always liked tiny, organized spaces. Does any one else here have one, had one and got rid of it, and how did you like it? Susy & Kiwi (her sweet little mutt)

Neat! This really works!
I've been looking on Craigslist at the Van Conversions, also the used RV sites. I think I will be shopping for an older one to start with. Less than 60, 000 miles and not a big project. I want to get the feel for it right here in Washington before I branch out into a better quality RV. My dog just wants to be where I am! Susy & Kiwi (her sweet little mutt)

Hi Susy Welcome! I'm staying over in Monroe ( Thousand Trails park) till Tuesday and then I'll be over in Fall City,( Western Horizons park) Bothell is not far away! There is going to be a RV show in Seattle Next month, I'll miss it but you should go and check it out. With the fuel prices so high, you are better off with something that gets good gas milage. There are so many parks in WA & OR to camp in. Most of the state parks are geared for smaller RV's so you'll be doing good having a B or C RV. The C's do have more room and bigger slideouts. There is so much to do in WA how can anyone sit still!! Enjoy your freedom!! With your attitude you'll fit right in!

Hi, Susy! You sound a bit like me. I'm single with a 15 lb pug, I'm 58 and live in SW Washington, about 28 miles NE of Portland. I have been wanting a B since I first saw them! I went to Portland's RV show last March, but sad to say, there aren't that many Bs in the NW right now. At least in my area. I have one dealer in Portland that handles the Roadtreks and another that does Pleasure Way. Further south there is another dealer. They all have limited quanities in stock and almost all are new models. What is the situation up there? Is there a particular one that has caught your eye? Lenora & Choco

Welcome Suzy!
I have a Class B Roadtrek Agile 19' diesel. I absolutely love it! I use it as my daily driver much to the amazemant of my co-workers who are not RV'ers lol I get 26 mpg highway. I can go anywherre in her and I do! No towing for me. And it is a joy to drive long distances.
You just have to get used to living in one area at a time. The space is limited of course, but very doable if you lead a simplistic lifestyle and don't need a lot of things. It is so cozy and I feel safe in it even during T-storms.
Good luck in finding your B!
