Hi Kim, glad you are back! How interesting that you bought a oldie but goldie classic for an RV..
I'm not sure where this small crack is in your shower stall--when you say by the knob...do you mean where the water faucets are? The shower head? IF it is in the wall of the shower...even small, it should be repaired as you definitely don't want water getting in your walls. It can cause major wall and floor damage.
We have some PA gals on here, I'm sure they'll be along before long.
Good y'all are headed for Seven Springs area. It is good to get away and rack up that needed R&R..
Could you do your typing from now on in lower case? Just the way it's done in the Forum World. All caps tend to be distracting and harder to read. Grin..

Hey, thanks for the quick reply. :)
It's so hard to know how to respond sometime on a forum. Some folks post on lots of different ones and know all the ins and outs, and then there are the newbies who don't have a clue. So when someone joins and it appears that she might be new we like to kind of gently introduce them to some of the more common practices. I think that was our intent with the capital letter thing.
So please don't be put off by our comments and come get wild and crazy with us! We really are a diverse, wacko group! We cover any topic -- and most aren't even remotely related to RV stuff in the chat room (can you say Hanes??).

Welcome Kim, I was looking back at the posts that I had maybe not welcomed someone. I bought a Coachmen Catalina Sport (1997) 22ft. It was in great shape, 36,000 miles on it. I guess you know how to check out your tires, for year manafactured. You have a hubby, they know all about those things. My RV has the small tub space with a place to sit and the shower. It worked fine for me. When I had the RV Repair Guy check out everything after I purchased it everything seemed to be fine, then that summer I had to replace the air conditioner. That was my biggest exspense. My fiberglass shower surround was all caulked and the RV guy said that it did not need to be caulked. It was rather a messy caulk job so I scraped that all off. If the crack is coming from one of those button like screw covers I guess some sort of fiberglass repair would be necessary. Its wonderful to have the RV, don't get me wrong but there are a lot of bells and whistles you will want if they are not there already. I put about 3,000 of maintenance, repair and then that new airconditioner. Have fun, we had a tent the whole time our kids were growing up, couldn't afford an RV. We always wanted a Class C, so now I have it, even though its in storage. OB44
