Since I have a Chinook vs. a big RV I hang a clear shoe bag holder in my closet for extra storage for small items. Do you have any suggestions or hints?

Hi Judy,
That's an excellent idea! I am just getting to that point myself in trying to maximize storage space. I started in the bathroom this weekend and got some suction cup type hooks to use as towel, bath sponge and razor holders.
Currently, I'm trying to figure out where to put my shoes. I don't want to put them in my clothing areas. Any thoughts?

I don't know what kind of space you might have, but look around and think outside the box. Those cheap plastic hanging shoe organizers can be cut apart either vertical or horizontal to be stapled inside a closet wall, or to a flat surface under the bed, on the back of a bathroom door, even just two pockets at a time inside a cabinet door. Don't forget possible area under the sofa to set a pair or two of shoes. We used to have travel drawstring covers made for putting shoes in suitcases and by tying them together you can hang them from the closet rod (they have golf shoe covers that are similar). I even made my own fabric shoe organizers (denim is good) that I stapled to fit a small side wall in one of my previous rigs.
An adjustable shower curtain tension rod across the shower can allow you to hang all sorts of organizers -the fabric type that snap over a rod - or just set plastic drawer units in the shower. They don't weigh much and can just be moved to use the shower.
I'm sure if given enough time I could think of a lot more possibilities. Browse around a few stores and think outside that box. Things don't always have to be used for what they are designed to do.
Enjoy the challenge!

Sharon, I keep my shoes in a tied plactic bag behind my couch pillow. I keep a pillow case back there so at night when I make my bed I throw the shoes in the pillow case and put it in the Driver's seat. Maybe this could work for you...

Thank you Evie and Judy,
Those are some great ideas. I really appreciate your input. I am a stickler for everything having its own space and everything in its place. My house is the same way.
This is a fun challenge for me, with a whole lot less space.
Thanks Again, Sharon

I use one of those plastic organizers over the loo door. Inside the door in the loo room. Holds all kinds of products, hair dryer, soaps, everything I used to have under the sink in the cabinet. We've also hung an extra cabinet in the loo room over the commode. It has 3 shelves and gives us plenty of room. Stan made shelves for two cabinets that only have 1 shelf. I didn't need tall spaces but I did need more surface space.
He attached a shoe shelf to the wooden bed frame at the bottom of the bed about 5 inces from the floor. It holds 5 o 6 pairs of shoes. The bedspread goes to the floor and covers the shelf. When the 5er is getting ready to be moved the cats crawl under the shelf and I tuck the bedspread around them. They stay there until we stop.
I use baskets for everything. I have pretty rattan baskets that I use when we're settled for magazines. I have a small basket on the table with vitamins, S&P and hot sauce of the week. I use a basket to keep hand lotion and DW liquid in by the sink. They all match so it sort of dresses up the ordinary. I also keep baskets behind the recliners to hold items. Have fun traveling.
