Is anyone going to Alaska this summer? As I stated in my initial email, we had planned to go and I'm still going to go on my own. Would love to have some company!!

Welcome to our Forum, Molly....so happy to have ya!!
We went to Alaska the year we retired and really enjoyed the experience. With your interest in photography....that state is photographically and scenic wise awesome!!!
I'm sure you know, but the Alaska Mile Marker book is a wealth of information for Alaska travelers. We were delighted to find when Mile Marker so-and-so had groceries, gas, telephone, post office, motel, etc...when we got there....it as ALL in one little building! :)
Keep on coming back and let us get to know you!!
Welcome again!! Joella

Hello again MollyM!
I am trying to plan a trip to Alaska next year-2008. I was trying to get some people together on another forum, but it fell through.
Please let me know if You are interested in postponing until next year. :) Carole

I'll be going to Alaska June- Sept but sorry we already have 4 40 ft motorhomes in our group going and I'm not the one making all the plans . Hope you find someone to travel with. Get Mike & Terri Church's Alaskan book, really informative. I'll PM you if you want their address.

I'm "tentatively" planning an Alaska trip for 2008, Lord willing. Plans already made for this summer...gotta do the trip I couldn't do last summer when I had to take my vacation at Moffitt Ctr. getting chemo! Making up for lost time now though! Dave,.... can you help us by moving this thread to the Open Forum? Thanks!
And for those that don't go in '08,.... I'm aiming at '09! I have the Grand Canyon and other sites in my sites for '08. At this time I don't think I'll switch the years, but who knows.
