Hi Ya'll from Tx
I am an RV wannabe, currently living in San Antonio, Tx. From Alabama originally, really want to get back to that area. Have always owned a home or lived in apt but I am close to having just a few possessions and looking at RV options. I am in the traveling caregiving business and looking for info.
Any info on RV's for rookies or traveling caregivers would be helpful.
Thank you! :)

Welcome, I live in Huntsville, AL at the moment. Got rid of all my possesions and finalising things for fulltiming in the next month. Keep reading, you'll learn a lot. I know someone posted about caregiving on the road. Incidentely, when I first came to Alabama I looked on the map to find this great town called Bama that everyone was talking about, darned if I could find it! 1984 Class A Allegro(Miss Piggy) Jean the Scot Bogie the Pit (rescued) Shona the Calico Cat

Glad to have you Bamarocks. When you find just that right motorhome you will grab it, pack it, and hit the road and never look back. There is something about driving off with all your important stuff with you, knowing that when you stop all that important stuff is still right there with you. Just a great feeling and wonderful adventure. Nan 2003 Forest River Lexington 23 feet

Hi ya 'bama,
Welcome to our group!
I suggest going to rv shows and not being closed minded to any type of rig,... after a little while at least one or two styles will become what you are most comfortable with. Then you can start narrowing down from there to make and model in that style. i.e.... 5th wheel, class C or whatever.
I'm another 'bama lover,... spent a winter there couple of years ago on the gulf coast. Love the gulf and especially the shrimp and cajun boiled peanuts! ;p Cedar '02 Ford Escape '04 Chalet Arrowhead (C-->)

marysdream,
I too am a nurse. Many nurses are traveling now. Many of the nurses I work with have tried it and liked it. Even had one buy an RV and take off with it to different locations. I guess the money is really good. The hospital I worked at in Birmingham even had RV hookups near the employee parking deck. Maybe you want to try it in your little Sweetie. :-)
