Carlann your DH sounds EXACTLY like mine. We also have ATVs for playing in the sand. I honestly don't believe we'll be doing the full time thing as he is certainly more attached to his things than I am. And no one had better touch HIS things dontcha know.
Barb, I've seen those before and they look pretty cool, but you are right...DH says that sure aint no bassboat. I heard they are going to open up one of our local lakes on Weds., which means I'll never see him on the weekends now unless I'm willing to get up at 0 dark thirty and out to go fishing with him at around 4:00a.m. Our desert season riding toys this year has been pretty lame as well. Oh well. Guess we should be fortunate to have such delimmas eh? Live Love Laugh Aloha Donna & Willie

I have a friend (not fulltime) who takes the boat with them - They have a 5th wheel and pull it behind that. In some states this is illegal - so they have to know where they're headed.
If you had a C and wanted to take a weeks vacation - to somewhere with a lake - bring everything you need with you and bring the boat instead of a toad. Make the destination the place you want to be.
And if he's deadset on bringing the boat- and you can't have a car and boat - you can always rent a car now and then.
Another option would be buying an rv spot on a lake - and keeping the boat there - and making that one of the places you always come "home" to. I met some people in NH who have their "summer home" where I workamped last summer. That's where the boat stays.
Just some ideas to maybe keep everyone happy :) Smiling is contagious - try it!

Bethers, The lake property sounds great to DH, BUT we already have 21 acers we are trying to sell to go fulltiming. If he had a place on a lake he would think he was in heaven and would never leave. Ha Ha.
We have thought of that and would someday like a place to call home on a lake, Just not here in Mississippi. A Friend is one who strengthens you with prayers, blesses you with love, and encourages you with hope. Liz

Excellent ideas!! I am looking at property in Maine, and am hoping the price will come down more this Summer, then I'm going to jump in with my brother. But, Maine would be a summer destination, and I would get another boat to keep there then we wouldn't have to drag the bassboat across the whole US. Well we are off to get some dinner so will chat with you all later. Live Love Laugh Aloha Donna & Willie
