Keeps me from that darn tetrus every time I sit down!Just me and the fur babies @ home today. I read in a post someone refering to the pets as 'fur babies' and I liked it.

We are all modern day Pioneers....we are just itching to venture out on a new journey some where. Some of us have jumped in with both feet, some just tickle their toes and some dream of the ultimate adventure around the bend with the smile that can be seen far away and rosy as a sunset.

Hi future!
Well I'm late checking in with my welcome; been traveling and spending time with family. I've been a member awhile, but still feel like a "newbie" too. Early retirement came this year...it's great! I'm not a fultimer, still own a house in FL, but plan to be a most-of-the-timer.
Sounds like you're doing all the right things to prepare yourself for your goal. I've gotten lots of helpful hints from the gals on this forum, and been fortunate to meet a few of them in person at the recent LA rally. See you down the road, Liz and Roe (dog) '99 Roadtrek 170

Liz.... I'm working towards early retirement too. Although retirement is a subjective term, since I will still be 'working', just doing something different. Getting lots of hints here. By the time I actually go to make a purchase hopefully I won't be quite such a greenhorn. Also, knowing that there are sooooo many women out there doing the same thing, many alone, is filling me with confidence that I'm making the right move. Electric bill is scheduled to raise 55% as of Jan 1st, so can't wait to be 'off the grid' and shed of this house that I have begun to think of as an albatross. getting my ducks in a row

I'm a newbie too. New to rving, new to posting, though I've lurked for a while. I'm fulltiming with my partner after selling our house and taking to the road a month ago. I wish I could say I love it, but I'm still adjusting, somedays I do love it, others I'm homesick. I'm allowing myself lots of time to adjust. Big changes!
If any of you pros have some ideas on adjusting...I'd be happy to hear.
Thanks for being here!

Abbe, Welcome. somehow the icon to show a new posting isn't coming up, or did I totally miss it? Anyway, please let us know how you adjust. I'll be leaving on Monday, but I have been living in Miss Piggy for nearly 4 months now, so I'm used to that part. 1984 Class A Allegro(Miss Piggy) Jean the Scot Bogie the Pit (rescued) Shona the Calico Cat

Abbe, Is it really "homesick" or just missing family and friends that were part of your daily life? I know how you feel (been gone for 4 months) and the holidays were rough but it's not forever. We'll go back for summer for 3 months. In the mean time there is just too much to see - do - and new people to meet. Right now we're making plans to go to Mexico. Would never be doing that in a stick house.
OH welcome to the forum the prefect place to "let it all hang out" We'll get you through it. Learning as we go CJ
