Hi

finally made it to Idaho was beginning to wonder if I would make it...it seemed that if something

didn't happen something else did!!!

And it's cooler up here so need to get the fireplace pilot light started!

got ready to leave Salt Lake City on Monday and couldn't get the jacks to retract well one did the other didn't then neither did then we couldn't get me unhooked...finally called the mobil rv guy he got me unhooked took the jacks to fix them and found one is too bent to fix but he got them to work if I do exactly as he said however I've had help and exactly as he said didn't happen...but at least I'm planted for the next few months...then while we were working on getting me unhooked discovered the hydroulic system had a leak...one guy said that it was loose and tightened them then when I put the slides in it leaked oil again...discovered another leak more major but the slides are out and all is ok for now and hopefully will be able to get the help I need to get the lines repaired and when I go to leave can get the jacks to retrack and when I get back to Ut get that job done..oh yes the batteries they are now top of the list!!!

my tale of woe!!! but on the bright side my truck towed like a touper and didn't over heat!!! so looking good there...

anyone heads to Yellowstone give me a yell and we will have a gtg

Well, Sheila, you certainly are getting a lot of mechanical experience since you have been travelling alone! If it isn't one thing, it's another. You will be an expert on diagnosing problems soon. Glad you are all settled for the summer. Spring should actually arrive soon! Take care. Evie

Sheila, glad you made it to your summer home. I think we learn more than we want to know with these rv's. My refrigerator isn't cooling and I can't get it in the shop until the end of the month. I attended a rally this past weekend using ice chests and canned food. Kind of like camping. lol Friday morning I heard something pop and water running. I ran out and turned my water off at the faucet. One of the bypass valves on the hot water tank blew apart. Someone had a phone number for a mobil repair guy. Even though I told him exactly what broke he showed up without the part. He had to rig it with what he had and now I have to pay someone to fix his repair.

My husband doesn't camp at all. About a month ago he wanted to go to a horse sale a couple of hours from here and I talked him into going in my motorhome. Just as we were getting to the ranch where the sale was I had a blowout. I had 2 tires that were coming up on 5 years and I was going to replace them this summer. He went to the sale and I waited 2 1/2 hours for the road service to show up to change my tire. Don't think I have to worry about him going anywhere else in my motorhome. I'm going to the lake this weekend with my sister. Hope I don't have anything else to add to my repair list.

yep more experience than I care to experience

but I really shouldn't complain doesn't stop me but shouldn't in all the years we've had this rig (8 and living in it full time 7) we've replaced the batteries and tires...it's just this year it's all at once and I'm sure some of this is lack of maintence as I don't know what needs to be done...just hope nothing major goes wrong with the truck or my teeth!!! so I can get the trailor in good condition

Hope the same with you Martha that all of the ills you are experiencing will be over and you

can once again enjoy the motor home!!!
