Wow what are we tongue tied??

or have broken fingers??

Have been trying to clear up space to put in my Christmas stuff

not succeeding not sure what is with me haven't even put up my dolls

but today did get busy and moved stuff around vacumned and every thing is either on the couch or in front of my cupboard that is where the dolls are beein waiting to put them up until I get the Christmas stuff over here.

Did put up the bird feeders which I so enjoy watching today was sitting on the floor trying to put something away when I heard this sound not a happy sound so got up to see what it was...saw a very fiesty tiffed off Dove!!! you know that picture you've seen of the tiffed off blue bird all fluffed up ??? well that is how the dove look and was chasing this other Dove around Aren't the the symbol of Peace???

but out side of the ruckus I had gold finch, house finch, quail, hummer and one that I need to look up but is was some sort of sparrow think it was a black throated sparrow as I just looked at the book also other peaceable doves

went out the other day to the post office chamber of commerce then up to a store where they have tee shirts came out got in the truck and nada nothing no how now way was it turning on! Called friends they came and jump started me and told me I ought to let it run for a bit so go home with the best of intentions of letting it run awhile then I realized that the key that I used was the one that had the house key on it well thought I I will just go get the spare one out of the lock box ...go remember the code open it up to find a key but not the right key who knows what key this fits but not the house that is for sure!!! sure was ticked at someone not sure who...how does it work that I get down here with just one key??? (Later I did find one on dh's key ring but it locked the door and then wouldn't un lock it..so not a lot of good to me) so had to turn off the truck yesterday Kerry came and jump started me and we took it to a place altantor was the problem just what I wanted to do is spend money on the truck! but it's working now or at least it got me home

trying to get used to being in town instead of out in the desert now that I've broke the "ice" I'm sure that someone will chime in

and I have hot water!!!

We're bad!

You sure don't have a boring life, do you? Sorry the truck wouldn't start. It's always something! Nice to have friends who help out.

Now that everything has been vacced you have no excuse for not putting up some Christmas things. Every year I'm alone I wonder why bother? No one sees what I do anyway. Hardly ever have visitors except for son #3. Then I realize the little Charlie Brown tree I bought after DH died and my music box collection, etc. are really for ME. Getting wiped out tired dragging it all in, setting everything up, and finding places to store the regular stuff in the meantime is actually worth it. I look around at all my favorite Christmas things and feel quite content. So, get with it, girl! Just a few things. And your dolls.

I bet you'll find living in town is a nice change. And having hot water is a good thing!

You're doing real good! Hope I'll get to see you in Jan.

Sheila will you be in Q for Christmas or back with your kids/family? Nice that you are putting up some Christmas decorations. Think I will do the same today even though I go up to my daughter's for Christmas. Can't wait to see the twins this year with their Christmas stuff.
Evie do your sons come for Christmas or just #3? Seems like everyone has their own plans doesn't it?
It is raining again here - good day to clean house and put up some Christmas decorations.
When I first started on this forum, there were so many participating.

Linda - I know what you mean - remember the old days when every post had a dozen comments the first day?

I usually get both oldest and youngest sons for Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter. Middle one is back in New England. Haven't seen him in a few years. All 3 are single, but #1 and #3 both have long term girlfriends. Hard not to miss the old holidays with lots of family around, so Sheila, decorate all you can, meet as many folks as you can, go shopping/browsing as often as you can.

Maybe some of the lurkers will post their plans for the holidays? We'd like to know where you're going. What you're cooking. How about starting it off, Joella. I know it's hard for you to visit the site now that you can't RV any longer, but some of us old folks are pretty grounded nowadays, too. I don't get out very often and the thought keeps running through my head wondering how much longer I'll be able to do this. But I know you keep busy all the time - so what are you doing these days?

Sheila, glad you got your truck fixed.

I have yet to put up any Christmas decorations. My DH has taken over the table I put the tree on so have to put his stuff away. I went shopping 3 days last week but the only person I got anything for was me. lol My friend is almost through with her shopping. The traffic is just crazy so not looking forward to going back.

My grandson and his mother are suppose to visit her sister in Florida for Christmas. My son wants us to go. After our trip this summer I don't know if my nerves can stand another trip with him. I never drive my motorhome 70 and he was driving 70 in a very heavy rain. He drives my motorhome like it's a government vehicle and I drive like I'm delivering eggs. We will have to have some understanding or he can go alone and not in my motorhome. I also hate to be gone for a week at Christmas.

My sister in law is having a party on the 22nd but I will miss that if we go to Florida. So my plans are kind of up in the air.

I would really like to go to Q in January. It looks like there will be a few of our rv sisters there. That would be a 2 week trip for me and my DH would have a fit.

so what do we have to do to convince him that its to his benifit if you come to Q in Jan

what would he love to have?

it would be fun to have you come...

thinking I wished I'd turned on the propane so I could have the fire place going bit chilly already

tomorrow really need to get down to brass tacks and do something on the decoration

maybe I ought to have a decorating party not sure who I would invite though

Sheila - did you get your Christmas decorations put out? Are you more comfortable now that you are back in Quartzsite? I put one Christmas item in the living room then lost interest because we are having gorgeous sunny weather here on the central coast. Just doesn't seem like Christmas yet!! But, Merry Christmas anyway!!

yes Linda I did finally get my decorations up as well as the nativity first up then the tree and in other stuff then I found a dog that I was interested in, in Indio CA but when I call they say if I decide on Friday I want him he will then go to the clinic on Monday for his surgury so that means 2 trips to Indio did the math that was close to 480 miles and Vegas was closer when figured out against that miles so Friday took off for Vegas a visit with my sister and family and trips to the shelter ...found a long haired Dashound 4 year old male mostly black with a white chest..here is hoping I chose well

if I could post pictures I'd post my Christmas stuff and my new Shadow

Congratulations on finding Shadow. Hope he's working out nicely and likes his new home. I know you have wanted a dog for quite awhile. He sounds like just the right size, too. That breed is adorable.
