looks like we are having a dry spell of communication!

This past weekend had a bitter/sweet time went up to the area that we used to host in and visited with some co-workers...then to the campground that we hosted in saw three of our repeat campers and visited with them one of the reconized the truck by it's sound lol had a good visit and they told me how much we are missed that the new campers don't keep the campground up as well as we did! pat me on the back but actually it was more Larry he had the knack down for raking the sites that I didn't do my job was to clean the fire pits and wash off the table I guess the new hosts haven't gotten that down yet...then met the new hosts would like to go back but unfornatly they like the campground as well.. oh well what can I say then went to my sister in laws quilting retreat not that I quilt mine you but I finished the weaving on my swedish weave and cut up curtains for my dd to make a couple of quilts out of for her daughters she called it her Marie Von Trap moment and finished a pot holder/trivit that I started in Quartzsite so I kept busy just nice women and a nice time then back to the campground as a family was coming in that I wanted to see so had a good visit with them... sure miss that area and mostly those that we came to treasure

Must have been tough to visit the old campsite. It's nice to see old acquaintances, but it's bitter sweet. Our lives change so drastically all of a sudden, don't they? Sounds like you're doing some crafts, tho. I can't for the life of me figure out why I have no desire to do the crafts I used to love. Having numb fingers doesn't help, but I don't even have the desire to try them! It would help if I could keep myself busy. What was the Swedish weave you mentioned?

I keep checking here, but no one has been posting for weeks. Would be nice to drum up some new blood.

How's Joella? Anyone heard from her?

see her post something occasionally welcoming a new person the the rv page on FB but it's usually exactly the same she used to answer when I sent her a forward but hasn't done that either so in a nut shell no I haven't heard from her...

I come in dailey but sometimes I'm not in the mood to write something if someone has written something will reply

yes we need something don't want them to take it way but how to generate new blood? but if you look people are lurking

swedish weave is a thing where you weave yarn through a cloth called monks cloth according to the directions wish I'd accomplished the knack of posting pictures would post a picture of it on one of the sites or both including FB it relaxes me ...but my hands are killing me and not sure why so am glad it's done all except for the finishing work need to do that so I can either take it too my friend/sister or send it too her if I decide that I can't afford to go on that trip that I really want to take. But then I want to start another one but don't like the color of the cloth I have will need to look at the patterns and see if one catches my eye for a lavendar piece of matterial

talk with you later Evie

Hi girls - I do check in once in awhile but there's just not much happening here. Nice to hear from each of you. Anyone been to any RV gatherings/outings. I'm going to a group gathering next week at Sugar Barge at Bethel Island, CA. Haven't been there before so a new adventure. Haven't had the MH out since early August so it's time.

Yeah, Linda - I live in CA, but I'm afraid to admit I don't know where it is either.

My RV group has been dark all summer and boy do I miss it! I only managed one 3-day outing with my son and it was 107 every day so we only read in the rig with the A/C on high! Tomorrow is the first campout for this 2012/2013 season and I am "in charge" along with another single gal. So-o-o looking forward to going. I'll probably be all ready and waiting for departure time by 7:00 am. Meeting up with 3 or 4 couples 11:00 at a restaurant halfway. Wonder what I'll forget?

Not much to write about when I don't do anything. Sharon and Karen came through a couple of weeks ago for a few days. I moved my motor home to the campground near Lafayette so I wouldn't miss anything. Carolyn and I toured around with them and had a great time. I think we would have had more come if Hurricane Isaac hadn't made us put off our plans for a while.

My sister has 4 days off this coming weekend so we were talking about going to the lake but now she wants to come here. Guess we will go shopping. I'm about shopped out. Nothing I need. Will probably do some Christmas shopping for her family while I have her to tell me what to buy. I'm not much into Christmas presents. Everyone has so much that they don't need anything. Toys for kids cost a small fortune and they don't take care of them.

My friend? talked me into taking 2 little kittens someone had dumped at her work. so I have been cat sitting. They were only about a month old and I had to bottle feed them for a while. My DH had a fit because I came home with more cats. They will have to be barn cats because they can't come in the house. That's why I can't work at an animal shelter, I would bring something home. I'm looking for a sitter for the end of October so I don't have to take them to Texas with me for a week. Any volunteers?

I like the way you put "my friend?" Martha I would be questioning it as well... a few years ago my dd decided that she was going to give her best friend a kitten for her b'day she was all for it dd found the kitten not ready to leave mom which was ok she got a call saying if you want the cat come get it it's good to leave mom...took one look at her and think not!! she in no way was ready to leave mom poor thing we bottle feed for several weeks had to clean her up ect not willing to do that again! Then best friend decided she didn't want a kitten/cat she was more a dog person so dd still has the cat named her Killer I didn't have overly friendly thoughts about the person who took a way too young kitten from mom...

enjoy your time with your sister Martha and the gtg

want to go to one this coming week still undecided Kerry can't make it so just not sure what I will end up doing its so far out of my way

I think Sugar Barge at Bethel Island is around the Delta area and I've never spent much time there. This gathering is with the Northern CA LoWs group. The LoWs for my area is almost non existent. So, we shall see.
There are so many places especially in CA to explore and appreciate the beauty.

Evie, where is your gathering going to be. Have a great time! Will you all be going to Quartzsite this January??
