Whew! Worked myself into a frazzle... We had breakfast before 7 AM and went outside to plant the new Azaleas we bought. We put 16 of the dwarf Azaleas by the spa room and planted 10 of the larger Formosa Azaleas in the flower beds all around the house where ours had bit the dust due to lack of rain this past summer's heat spell!

We had lots of help!! Milt was digging the holes while I was planting the shrubs.. Kandi and Schugar were checking every hole as Milt dug them...head all down into the hole and sniffing...Then as I planted they were between me and the shrubs... checking out how I was doing it--- with an occasional lick in the face---- telling me I was doing it all right--- and what a good girl I was!! Then as I moved on to another one-- Milt was putting our Pine Bark Mulch and both girls were checking out his job as well... They gave us A+'s on our efforts!!

Then we moved on to the Garden area and planted our Big Boy tomatoes... Good job well done!

We are supposed to have 3 days of rains --- and wanted the plants out... and we also have fertilizer all on the lawn and flower beds awaiting the rains as well.

Enjoy your day as much as we did ours!

Happy Travels!

Planting tomato plants in March!!! As I look at the thermometer it reads 37 and snow on the ground I so envy you. I just tried to go to mail box and there is a 4-5 foot ice patch at the end of the driveway that I am not walking across for a few pieces of paper. The last thing I need to do is fall and break something.

DH is hanging in there. He gets weaker each day. His meds are increased almost daily. We are not sure what is keeping him here but think he is either waiting for something or needs to do something else before he feels he can leave us. The nurses are amazed that he is still with us.

I am getting tired, but tend to think that is worse because of my RA and recently diagnosed Sjogrens Syndrome. Just life!

I am doing my best to let God take care of things and no to worry about the small stuff. Hospice is giving me an extra hour a couple of days a week so I can get out to do errands and that gives me a break.

Duncan senses that Papa is sick and has become my constant companion. I left him home last week while I got a hair cut and he cried for an hour and a half. Going to be a problem when I finally go back to work. Luckily I work for a company that is animal friendly and he may have to be a working dog or I may have to retire early. I like that idea better. Have to see if there is a market for my house before I can make any decisions.

Enjoy the weather!!

Joella sounds like you all had a wonderful day planting. Its cold with snow on the ground here too. Supposed to be warmer tomorrow. I won't be able to plant tomatoes until Derby day (first Sat in May) in by derby day should yield tomatoes by 4th of July {thats what people around here say anyway : ) }

Glad you had a great day!

We are still here on Mustang Island. Not much rain predicted until Friday - but WIND. We have had strong winds practically every day.

We all voted on a "down day" today. A bunch of us have been busy with daily outings but I think most of us were ready to slow down and start getting ready to leave tomorrow. Has been fun to be with this gang, which has turned out to be predominantly the Pink Flamingo gals.

Joella, seems like you and Milt are always busy with some project. Glad to hear that because it means that both of you are feeling better.

Deb, you are always in my prayers. I know that things will fall into place for you when the time comes. Take care of yourself during these stressful days.
