I have been waiting since April for the hummingbirds to arrive at my feeder this year. They finally arrived on Monday, they were extremely late this year. But I am very happy that they are here.

Oh and this little guy was sunning on my deck.

The hummingbirds are late getting here too. I haven't seen one yet but my son says he has seen 2 coming to the feeder on the carport. I have tried sitting out there in the late afternoon but I haven't seen one. They are usually really aggressive and possessive about the feeders.

Yeah same here, they fight over the feeder and run each other off. Occassionally two will eat at the same time, but that is rare. Their fun too watch! I have seen pictures from people who have dozens at once and they will eat together, I have never had that many here.

The squirrel has the right idea...relax on the deck and watch the birds.

Great pictures Lynn!

I have 2 feeders on the back of my deck, and they come all day long.

I can sit for hours watching the males chase the females away

because we are workkamping in 'Bear' county we aren't allowed to put up hummingbird feeders! the one negative thing about this gig so I put out flowers that hopefully will attract the hummers... so far haven't seen them and have heard that they are as far north as Tetonia my dd had them at her feeder. Love to watch them have a lot of them at the feeder when in AZ for the winter...even have had them share the feeder was so impressed as that is a rareity ....

your pictures were great Lynn

Love your pics, Lynn! I haven't seen a single one here in Ft.Worth. But my sister out in west TX has them all over her feeders. Plus some little orange & yellow birds she's never seen before have been feeding too. I guess global warming is screwing everybody up, even the birds!

Happy Trails!!! Liz
