Joella,
Last winter in Florida, my laptop wouldn't boot up one morning because Windows had a corrupted file, and I stupidly left the restore disks home!
It had Windows XP on it. I had to go out and buy a new laptop. It had windows 7 on it.
Much to my surprise, when I went to set up my e-mail account, I couldn't find any Windows mail client, but live mail which I also will not use.
From what I understand, this is not on your computer but up in the "clouds", on a remote server like uploading your pictures to a photo site like Photobucket. If the companies computers go down, or they go out of business, and you don't have a hard copy of your photos backed up, they are lost forever.
Windows 7 does NOT have a e-mail client like Outlook express or Windows mail like Vista had.
I did some research and found out that Microsoft tells you if you want a conventional e-mail client on 7 you have to use a third party software.
I ended up using Mozilla Thunderbird on my laptop, it's free and easy to set up:

I sure do hate laptops, and at home I only use PC's, but don't have the room when on the road, so it seems every couple of years one way or another the laptop has to be replaced!
