Thank you all for the warm welcome!

We do have an RV, and are going to Florida for the winter with our 2 cats.

I had to put down my German Sheperd about a month ago, and had to board her when we went on mini trips. It's sad to say, but with her passing, we finally have the freedom to travel for months at a time.

We are both retired, and have a pickup truck slide in camper, that is perfect for the 2 of us.

But I think that we love Florida so much, that we wil buy a small 5th or travel trailer and put it on a seasonal spot for the future winters.

As much as I like the change of the seasons, I'm getting sick of the snow and the the winter months.

Welcome to this motley crew! My husband and I lived our dream and fulltimed for 9 years. We would still be on the road except that his health started failing and he is now in assisted living. I still live in our fifth wheel in deep south Texas and purchased a class B about a year and a half ago so I can still get on the road from time to time and enjoy spending time with the kids and grandkids during summer travels. I share the same middle name with many of our forum sisters - that is GO!

Sorry to hear about your husband, Sue.

Early on in my marriage, we decided not to have kids. Nobody to leave the money to, so I guess we will have to spend it on ourselves

Thinking about selling the house and going full time, and getting a small MH, the truck camper is a little small for long periods of time.

Linda, to answer your question about our travels. We got the truck camper about 2 years ago, and mainly stay on the eastern seaboard, but next year we are planning to go cross county!

Welcome! I have a 32' class A and joined the Ramblin' Roses branch of the RVW national organization after I bought my RV two years ago. I am out at least once a month to attend a rally but have been very busy traveling the last few months. I live in Spring, TX which is just north of Houston.

So glad you have joined us and will love to read about your travels.
