A friend is trading her 5-er for a park model and gave me her Euro Chair with ottoman. I would like to take the Steelcase chair out near the door and replace it with this one. The current chair looks like it is on a rug covered pedestal of some kind. Has anyone taken one out and if so, how do you do it. I hate to pay a service guy if it is something I can do myself. The chair the gave me reclines and swivels and is sooo comfy.

I haven't a clue! I Googled this problem and came up with nothing. I did see this: I'd just have to get a handy set of tools, and get down on my prayer bones and attack the problem.

Take the passenger chair loose from the pedastal. There are 4 bolts and you can just lay it back. This would give you more working room. Then remove the pedastal, where bolts go through the floor. If you can reach the bolts that extend through the floor, do that first in order to save steps.

Good luck! So neat you got a chair given to you. We once took out a couch.. and although it was a bear to get to, we just found bolts and got them outa there.

Happy RVing!

Joella

Thanks Joella. I hope you are right. For me to get down on floor level is not the problem, getting back up is. I had a small mishap in sandals again. Slipped going down the steps and knee ended up on concrete patio. Lucky I was still holding the door, so only skinned knee. I did not break anything this time. Guess I will have to give up vanity for safety and keep the tie on sneakers. Drat!.

He has been sick for the last week (and still not 100 %) and got way behind on studies. Plus, he is 89 miles, one way from me. The neighbor that gave me the chair is going to take a look at it. He had the chair for quite some time. Put it in his first gas MH, then in the deisal, then the first 5th wheel and now in this one that he just traded for a Park Model.
