HOT!!

HotOut-2.jpg picture by jomilt

It was 103.1* here yesterday...another record breaking high for this month. at 7 PM...it was still 101*.... Just unbelievable...then we got a rain in.... got dark and lots of lightening... we got .9" of rain.... and was out with the girls.... and it had dropped to 78.3* out there....Felt like God had turned on His a/c!!!!
Milt and I did two hours of continuous hard work this morning, starting at 7 AM. We were weeding the back flowerbed. We both worked our little buns off....and it looks NICE!! Now to keep it that way... My fault for letting it go so long... It's been SO hot....and I must confess I just looked the other way... sticking my head in the sand, as it were! That bed is big....about 100' long..... in parts is about 4-5' wide and there is a 20' section that is about 12' wide. I had sweat dripping from head/hair....and clothes were wet....Came in the door with the blind staggers!!
Have not done another thing all day.... except meet granddaughter at the Chinese Buffet for lunch. Nice and cool in there!
Happy Travels, Y'all!

We have had a couple of busy days. DH's sister and her husband were here from IA for two days... we filled those two days to the brim...yesterday over to Jackson to see the BarJ Wranglers, to day up to Sawtell peak took in other roads, and foated down the river.... out to supper. campfire and hugs ...they are on there way back to IA tomorrow. What a fun two days

Mercy, that is hot. Don't over- do yourself. That kind of heat is not for working outside in. You could get heat stroke very easily and we do not want anything happening to you, so be careful! Now that you have made everything pretty----How about a picture. Those of us who travel all the time are envious of those of you who have beautiful yards. I love gardens.

I hate to tell you but it is just lovely here near Madison WI. It is 68 and I have all the doors and windows open.

You better be careful in that heat. My DH does the same as you and Milt. He comes in with his clothes soaked. He doesn't have any business working in that heat either.

Tuesday night I was on the Tennessee/Virginia border and yesterday morning it was 68. My ac didn't come on all night. Was a nice change from home.
