Good Morning!

I don't know if all of you know my DH has had major surgeries, heart two years ago...and brain tumor surgery this past May. Thank God, he's OK, has no on-going health issues and improving--- but we are older, have been RVing since 1968, he has no oomph and no desire to travel any longer. I could have opted to keep it, as do drive it, but we put our new 2010 motorhome and Tow Jeep up for sale about 1 1/2 months ago.
Yesterday, we sold the motorhome and swapped the Jeep off on a Toyota Tacoma pickup--- all in one day We got home from the Jeep swap to have a phone message about the motorhome sale and dropping a check in the mail for us.
I am TRYING not to buy a small RV of some kind. I just KNOW it won't be used much... and is bad on "tight ole me" too see that much money to just sit out there under the RV shed of the workshop. As far as he is concerned, I can do whatever I want....but I know I'd seldom go withoout him and I'm trying to be wise. Sigh!! But, I keep looking and "wishing"...hahahaha!
Happy RVing all y'all!
Joella

Hugs to you and your husband. You know never say never...you are a very wise woman and I don't for one minute believe that you are finished with rv'ing. I believe when its the right time and the right place it will happen. And your husband might feel the same way one day- he has climbed some pretty big mountains.

I also know that you have your happy memories on the road and that is priceless.

I also remember when one door closes another greater one opens. I don't respond here often but I do check in.

My right place has not happened yet but it will. I know it will one day. This summer has been family time and stay around Virginia. I never realized how many great back roads that VA has especially on the Harley. And how great mini-vacations are.

Spent lots of time with my granddaughter and children. Youngest starts college next week. And I go back for teacher days. I am really looking forward to starting school.

Hope that you find peace and hope that I see you here still commenting.

Joella - Seems just like yesterday you were so proud of your new MH & tow car. You know that the right opportunity will come along - whatever that may be. Best to you and Milt!

I am thinking...give her 45 days! That will give her time to get back from her mini vacation to NE and do some shopping around...although if I know her she has already been looking!

I wondered why you hadn't taken more trips with your new MH. I can understand that Milt might not be as enthusiastic. He has been through an awful lot the last couple of years. Perhaps you can come up with something smaller, like Sharon's Class B, so that you can take mini trips, or GTG. One thing about life, it is ever changing. Who knows what tomorrow will bring. What ever it is, it will be the right thing at the right time.

Wow. Well, I am happy for you, if you are happy about it.

I am happy to hear your husband is doing well. Who knows, our paths may still meet up on the road one day.

Carolyn, if you are going to the Flamingo GTG in Schertz, TX on November 19, 20 and 21st --- I will be there. The park has a cabin and I have rented that.... IF I don't have a little RV by then!

Don't believe I ever said I was happy about trying to give up RVing.... just trying to pull up my big girl panties and do what I feel needs to be done. Tain't easy!!!

Happy RVing!

Yes, I will be attending the Pink Flamingo GTG. Great, I will meet you then.

PS I always forget about the cabins for rent.

Oh Joella, you two have been thru so much, but I think I know how you feel. So whats wrong with getting a little something to put under that RV roof of yours? Maybe something smaller, not as new, but gently used, good deals out there right now. So you use it once in awhile...so what! If you are in the financial position to do it, I say go for it girlfriend!!! You've been looking haven't you? Times a tickin' for all of us on this earth...you have one in mind don't you?!

With all your wit and humor and great ideas and suggestions....why not write a book? I know...get a smaller RV and that can be your "place" to write!!!
