MOOSE

We made it to VT but had a very rough ride. So much construction. Something is broken on my entry steps. Looks like I am getting a list of fix-its for when I get the jacks fixed. Anyway, coming down one of the 9% grades in VT, this huge moose crossed the road.

Some people go years without ever seeing one. Both times I have been to VT, I have seen one. More of my trip on the blog.

How fortunate you got to see a Moose in your lifetime, and were able to capture it's photo for we--- your Forum Sisters as well. Thanks --- I enjoyed!

I always thought a Moose is not a pretty animal. Looks like something that was made up of all the left-over animal pieces that don't seem to fit, nor belong to one another. However, doesn't stop them from being awesome when you are lucky enough to see one!

Sorry to hear of your steps problem. Seems to always been something!! Hope the fix is not expensive!

Checked out your Blog and enjoyed!

Wishing you good, and exciting, fun travels!

Cool moose photo! I've been lucky enough to see many moose in Colorado, but I never get tired of them. It's always a thrill to see another one!

We've run across a few moose in our travels. In Alaska, one ran across the road right in front of us. Thank goodness DH was quick and our brakes were in good shape as well as the brake buddy. Just read that a motorist was killed in Maine after running into a moose and his car turned over. Be careful out there. We were in VT in June. What roads were in bad shape, Karen? PS. We are in Nova Scotia and leaving for Newfoundland tomorrow, so will probably not have internet for at least 15 days. (see blog) carold

Very nice bull. Some hunter will be after him come Sept!
Yes, moose are very dangerous. Having lived in Alaska for 21 yrs. I have seen plenty close up and I have been chased by one!! In the news we would hear of people being trampled and even killed by them especially in the winter when the snow is deep. They tend to hang out in driveways and in town along buildings where it warmer. Unsuspecting folks get out of their vehicles only to come face to face with one!

Sometimes, the only right answer is silence...which in and of itself speaks a thousand words.
