Hello Ladies,

I recently washed and waxed my RV, as well as the roof. The wash and wax and roof cleaner and conditioner were a combo product. My stepson actually clean and condition my roof. I am scared of heights and could not bring myself to get on top the roof.

My questions to all of you:

1) Do you wash & wax your RV or pay someone to do it? How often?

2) Do you clean & conditon your RV roof or pay someone to do it? How often?

3) What brand of products do you use? Any recommendations?

Thanks.

1. You don't want to know how often Milt washes/waxes our RV... He does it every time we bring it home to get the road grime off it. I have told my RV friends he is the original Mr. Clean.

2. He washes it with Simple Green and a soft long handled brush. Rinses it good.

3. He polishes it with ProtectAll. Buys it at Camping World. It has Carnauba Wax in it. He sent directions how to use it. Buy it in a gallon jug, as it's cheaper. Place in an old spray bottle, like a Windex Bottle. Shake well before using. Spray it on in small squares, use a clean rag to wipe it smooth and polish it. If it streaks you have used too much. It is easy to use and works really good. It Polishes, Waxes, Protects, Treats (like rubber and such) and protects. Gives a showroom shine.

He does the work himself and has never paid anyone to do it for him.

Hope this is helpful.

Happy RVing!

I wash my RV every time I come home from a trip. I also clean the inside and mop and vaccum the floor. Except for some dusting around the windows it is basically ready to go on another trip. All the laundry is done and returned to its place.

I cleaned the rubber roof earlier this year using a product I bought at Camping World. I mixed the stuff in a bucket (all up on the roof) and then rinsed and did it in small sections. I'll do it again in six months. I haven't waxed it yet but when I do I will hire someone to do it.
