For those who are praying women, and for those who want to send good thoughts, please offer them to my sister, Pam. She was hospitalized yesterday. So far they have found she has high levels of calcium in her blood, a spot on her liver which they have already biopsied, and an enflamed pancreas. Results of the biopsy will be in another few days. She is 57.

UPDATE:

Not good, it's cancer. The family will talk to an oncologist this afternoon to devise a plan. Her family Dr thought they would do other testing to see if it has spread etc.

I am in WA state and she is in Illinois. One of those times where you sure wished you lived closer.

Thanks for your continued good thoughts and prayers, everyone. Very much appreciated.

Good morning -

I got a PM from Lenora and she asked that I share it with you all -

Thank you, Trudy.

Talked to my family in Illinois last night and found out my sister's cancer is stage 4 in her lungs and liver. Possibily in her breast area and pancreas. Even with that they sounded hopeful with chemo etc. Then this morning at 6 got the dreaded call that she is getting worse quickly and now they are saying she may not last the weekend. I am numb. I feel like I am dreaming this whole thing and want to wake up. I am trying to make arrangements to fly out. Also need to talk to my Dr as my bp shot sky high and I got a severe headache, which isn't good. Need to talk to my Dr before I leave. Thanks for continued prayers. Please let the forum ladies know.

Please keep Lenora and her sister in your prayers, sounds like they'll need allot of prayers and good thoughts to stay strong in the comming days.
