Our twins are 22, both girls, though not identical at all.

We traveled extensively with our oldest granddaughter, and hauled her all over the nation. She often talks of her memories of travel and how much she loved it. Our two kids do as well. Her sister HATED to travel, so she missed out. Grin.

We never traveled with the twins. Due to a divorce, we didn't see them much. It wasn't encouraged. --- but one of them made it her business to get to know us, when she was in high school, is around a lot and is a big "buddy" of ours, and a treasure.

Enjoy those babies!!

Again, thank you all for your wishes. It seemed like when my daughter knew she was expecting twins that I started meeting mothers that had just had twins or others that had twins in their families. What a blessing. Seems like when I had my daughter 35 years ago that I just did not hear of multiples at all.

My SIL sent me a video last night of the twins laying side by side kind of flaling their arms, making sweet little sounds and interacting with each other. Max was in the hospital longer than Mia so they are still seeing each other out in this world. Waiting to see how they get along together in the future. LOL

You are so right, Linda. "Back then" twins were not so common. We had two sets in our whole school system.

Now they are common. I may be wrong, but I blame it on birth control pills. I just think something causes twins to be more common.

The birth of twins has increased by 65% in the United States from 1980 to 2003. Identical twin birth remains the same...but multiple egg births have increased.

One could blame fertility drugs....but I now know many personally who have twins and none of them took those drugs.

Just a mystery---- but those of us who have twins in our family--- it's a Blessing as well.... Grin..

Enjoy your babies... The video sounds so sweet. Just an Awwwww moment!!!

Thanks. My daughter was told a little over a year ago that she probably wouldn't be able to get pregnant. Now she has 2 at once and these two were totally natural - no help w/fertility, etc.. The doctors don't always know everything.

We'll take our two little precious babies that's for sure!!
