Ladies, I want to thank you for all of the help with my oxygen question and your kind words of welcome. I think what I will try to do is get a hold of a portable oxygen concentrator in addition to the home one. I am a little leary of traveling with oxygen tanks in the motor home. Mom is 94 and enjoys going. I am hopeful we can still do that. She is getting stronger-slowly, but there is proress. I now have some other questions for you. Where can one view a shuttle launch? I hope to get to see one before they are permanently grounded. We tried last year, but it was scrapped moments before it was scheduled to launch and the drive back was a nightmare! We were staying in Fort Wilderness. The hour drive home turned into 4 hours!!! That was too much!

Also, we hope to get to the balloon festival in Albuquerque. Where can we stay that is near to the festival with full hookups?

Thanks again for your help!

Safe travels and have Fun!

We live on the Space Coast and my hubby is retired from KSC. Best place to see shuttle is from Jetty Park in Cocoa Beach. BUT, you can also see it anywhere along the coast here. Titusville is the home to Kennedy Space Center and along that area of the coast is great too. You have alot of options, but with anything shuttle related, you have to have patience and some time to spend in case of a "scrub". They always manage to launch, but not necessarily when we want it too. If you haven't seen one, it's a real treat and the only place in the US to see it! So come on down, hopefully when its not soo cold, and take in the sites. We have great beaches around here, while you're at it, you can cruise to wherever from here!! Plan ahead is the secret, the other is to be patient!

As for the balloon festival, never been, but hope to go one day!

We've not been to the Balloon Festival in Albuquerque, but can imagine it is a sight to behold.

We were once there, and when we came into the RV park, we were told we could only stay X amount of days, since they were "full up" for the Balloon Festival. The park had full hook-ups, but while we were there, they began making off spaces, close, close to one another in their sizable pasture and putting out 50 gallon drums for the onslaught of RV's coming in. Therefore we know that it gets very crowded, and they fill up, even to boon dock in a RV park.

Candy make your reservations for full hook-ups WAY early!!

This is a website full of information, including a place to reserve your RV site.

The Balloon Festival is a huge one....so the Internet is full of websites of information...You can do a goggle search on Balloon Festival...and find loads of info.

Just do what you are going to do early....or you'll miss the boat..

You and your mother enjoy!

Happy Travels!

I sent this to you as a private message, but it was returned, with your earthlink address being no good.

I wanted to give you information about this blog that has an article on the Balloon Festival. I'm sure Mike won't mind me posting it here as we are RVAmerica buddies. Here's the e-mail I sent.

Candy, I found this for you. It is from the blog of a couple who are also RVAmerica members.
Mike and Linda attended the Balloon Festival, and his blog has this very good article about it..Most helpful!
By the way..... I am SO happy you have chosen our Forum, and are posting on it. We desperately need new members. We had new software put into use a few months back, and the Forum has never recovered from the "shock".. Many found it hard to use, and quit using the Forum. I find it very kin to other Forums I follow.
Hope you and Mom enjoy your travels. I'm sure the Balloon Festival is like no other!!
Happy RVing!
Jomilt
