Weekend-1.jpg picture by jomilt

I wish you a wonderful weekend. We are not having freezing nights, but is chilly enough to have the wood stove going. We never use our central heat, but depend on that stove--- and love to see the relaxing fire going!

We went out and burned garbage, got in another supply of wood, turned on the water in the shop and cleaned up the commode area.

The girls romped and ran and enjoyed the 51* sunny day.

I made a hamburger soup.... I throw in the kitchen sink when I cook soup, so the recipe always differs somewhat, but it's all good eating.

Life is in the slow lane around here... Milt saw the Neurologist, and he ran no tests and determined nothing... No help there... said come back in four months... I think not. Milt said he has written on his "to do list" that he is getting better and stronger---- so will be able to cancel that appointment. The Cardiologist is taking him off the Coreg, but one of those things that must be done slowly.

Ho Ho Ho.....Life Goes On, and I'm just a singing that song!!! yup

Enjoy the weekend, Forum Sisters

We are expecting a storm here - Clouds moving by quite briskly! My awning lock mechanism and both springs got replaced. Now I know what they look like - and no - I didn't take any pictures. The guys were in a hurry and, um, if I'd said let me take a picture - they would have killed me! But it's done - not a very pretty job - but the darned thing works and that's the important part to me. Need to go roll it up before we get our 40mph winds!

I've put a mouse on my laptop and need to find my auxiliary keyboard. I've been online so much that carpal tunnel symptoms are starting to re-appear. The last surgery is why I have all the scar tissue in my hands - my Mixed Connective Tissue Disease indeed messed with (hey - I cleaned THAT up!) the, well, connective tissue. I can't let myself get to where I have the pain and numbness of the carpal tunnel. Those of you who have had it will know whereof I speak. So - going to not say anymore now!

Putting the awning up - tucking things away from the elements and ready to ride her out! :) It's not supposed to be as bad as the last storm - no more 70mph winds! :)

Update: No thunderstorms predicted - highest winds will be 15mph - and just maybe some showers! That's certainly an improvement! Still think I'll pull the awning in though...........

It was nice and sunny today but still a little cool. I think everyone in Lafayette was on the road today. I wanted to go to the craft show but I couldn't get a parking place. People were even parked on the sidewalks. I figured it would be so crowded you wouldn't be able to get around. I might try again tomorrow. I don't know why I go to those things, the only thing I ever buy is dip mix and candy.
