I was "reading" the Internet today, as I often do... and ran across the neatest Mod. A boondocker installed a 12 volt water pump from his grey water tank to his commode to flush his commode. A pump that pumps 1 gallon a minute is enough to flush the commode. He installed the pump in the basement area and ran the plumbing up into the bathroom. Hating to waste fresh water for commode flushing , they now use gray water. He installed a cut off valve so the fresh water was was no longer routed to the commode for flushing. A washing machine type water strainer would hair from clogging up the pump. Use liquid bath soap, to eliminate soap slivers.

I know if I mention this modification.... people can devise a plumbing plan in their RV to accomplish this mod.

I thought the idea was just GREAT for those of you who boondock. What a water savings!!

Happy RVing!

Well - you're right! This is way cool! Hmm - I'll have to think about this. Although, with my valet service out here I don't have to worry about too much! LOL
