Well - I had waterfront property this morning! I am having a horrid time uploading pictures - so only one for now. The river has completely abated, but it has started to rain again. AND we have wind gusts up to 65 mph they say - and I would believe it! Poor Larry and Sheila lost their awning! Larry was trying to bring it in and a wind gust just ripped it out of his hands. The tube and arms flew over the rig and the fabric is draped over the roof. It will have to wait til things calm down. He said he heard glass shattering on it's way over so he's afraid the roller tube or arm hit a solar panel as well. Darn - at least they have insurance! I've pulled everything in and am just hunkered down. Hoping my laptop doesn't kill my batteries - if it does - I'll deal with it tomorrow. I have flashlights....... :)

Here's the one that has uploaded so far of my 'river' - I'll try to get the others to go - but this has taken 2 hours, and those of you who know me know that is pushing my patience button - a LOT!

I have my own little waterfall!

Another view of my 'river'!

Looks like the wash is doing it's job and taking care of excess rainwaters.

Surely sorry to hear of Larry and Sheila's loss of their awning! That's too bad. good they have insurance, but the inconvenience is still there!

Thanks for posting the photo.. Take care and don't get wet!!!

Happy camping in Q!

Are you rocking and rolling in your rig? Hang on tight and it has to stop sometime. Did this storm come up suddenly? As Joella says - looks like the wash is working.

Kerry - thanks for the pix. Sure hope that "river" doesn't get much higher. Looks like the storms from CA have hit Q?? I was without power on Monday for 12 hours. AND, it has been storming every day since. This AM it was fierce but looks like it has calmed down some in the last few hours. So much for sunny CA??!!!! LOL

We are currently (4:50PM) under a flash flood warning, a severe thunderstorm warning, a high wind warning and a tornado warning. Are we having fun yet? I can't decide if I should head for town and a building that is more solid than my RV, or just hang in. It's been the kind of day that I'm still in my jammies - so that has some bearing..........

I do think I might gather up my meds in a bag however - so I can grab them if I have to make a run for it! OK y'all - I'm not lovin' this! LOL I never did like the E ticket rides!

wow that's a lot of water coming through there. hate to be the bearer of more bad news, but it's 10:26pm and we just had another gust of wind and more rain here in Esco. Weather report w/doppler radar shows continued winds and showers throughout the night, and unfortunately it's all moving East.

At least we haven't had anymore lightening shows lately. I hate thunder and lightening. Well I'm going to try and get some sleep. Hunker down gals and know you are in our prayers. Things are suppose to slow down and start to dry out Sat/Sun. Talk of more rain on Tues, but I'll be happy with a little less rain/wind/hail/thunder and lightening for at least a day or two. sigh.

Take care.

Me too! We get T storms today and then pretty much clear sailing I think. I have my pictures from last night - the wash was just raging. At one point we were under a high wind warning, a thunderstorm warning, a flash flood warning and a TORNADO warning! WAY too many warnings for me to be a happy camper! But, we're still all here! That's the important part.

Yikes! Kerry! I would be so panicky not knowing how excess water in the desert can get crazy.

My friend working in Q called me yesterday and said her MH is rocking and rolling something awful, and the wind was blowing the rain sideways! She also has a lake growing near her. Her sister was driving to Parker for groceries or internet or some such, but had to turn back, just couldn't see to drive!

Take care, my friend! Check in often.
