Today I was sort of feeling better so Alicia came over...let me tell you I almost canceled her... LOL We were planning to do some work on Ruth but I was hurting this morning. So she came over anyway and we watched a cool movie on TV... Last of the Dogmen...then decided to try and see what we could do on the trailer. After starting I felt much better so we got some 'stuff' done! We cleaned the dust off of the doors and re-attached them, Alicia swept and mopped the storage area underneath the trailer, I stapled the cool insulation I bought into place under the front window...then we decided to check out the floor tiles and ended up installing them...have 3 pieces of trim left to do and one tile by the door.

Here are a couple before pics

the first one is the yucky carpet!

this is the old tile that was under the carpet
a couple pics of the insulation!

I'll say y'all got a lot done!!  That is a bunch of "beautifying" to accomplish in one day!!  I like the new tile very much.

What a feeling of accomplishment you and Alicia must have had at the end of your day's work!!  Way to go!

If y'all accomplish that much every workday--- you'll be able to take Ruth to Quartzsite!  Wouldn't that be wonderful?  Just think, beginning the first month of 2010 with your's and your trailer Ruth's very first run!!   NEAT!!

SO proud of you two!!

Happy RVing!

I do love the wood work in the older trailers. They have a wonderful color and the people installing it had skill!!! Your new floor looks so much better! The insulation will make it easier for who ever ends up sitting by the window!! Coming along nicely!

That's just wonderful Alice! I'm glad you were feeling well enough to do this! Maybe Q?

Wow! Ruth is starting to take shape very nicely. The new flooring is so bright and nice, so cheery. Have you got a vehicle to tow her to Q yet? Sure looks like you will be able to go.

thanks for the pictures, Jan

Love the new floor. Every girl likes a new look now and then and I'll bet Ruth is grinnin' bumper to bumper with her new duds and the idea that she'll soon be ready to go out and strut her stuff!

Glad you are feeling better. Ruth is really shaping up. You must be so proud of what you have accomplished. The floor looks great and you can't have too much insulation which will keep you cooler in the heat and warmer in the cool. Great job.

Thanks everyone...Alicia has been such a great help since the start! She even went with me to look at Ruth before I bought her...she has ulterior motives...that dinette bed has her name on it! I am trying to figure how to put some of that insulation between the bed and the underneath storage! It is just stapled into place but would like it to be underneath! maybe to the back of the wood under the bed part? that would be the easiest way I believe.

Yup - I'd say turn the seats, and maybe even the dinette table itself, upside down, and staple away. You might also be able to put a layer down in the bottom of the storage cubbies under the seats and use it as 'shelf paper'. It doesn't weigh much and might help a lot. I suppose the area under the table is going to be the weak link - and I don't think an insulation 'rug' would help much. Although - I suppose you could keep a piece, with the edges bound with duct tape, as a 'rug', that you slid under the table on the floor if Alicia is sleeping there! Just a thought - random though it might be! LOL
