question-1.gif picture by jomilt

I stumbled upon an interesting article with good question , in that the author asks the readers who don’t regularly comment to leave a brief comment answering a few questions for him so that he can get a better picture of his readership. He says it will better enable him to make sure his blog contains the information that will keep his readers coming back.

Never one to disregard a good idea, I’m going to flatter the living daylights out of this author and copy his idea.

So now, dear lurkers, and you know who you are, here is your chance to leave a comment, answering the below questions. For those out those asking “What’s in it for me?”, know that your comment will help me and the many who generously contribute to Women's Forum to better provide you with the information you crave.

Here are the questions I’d like you to answer in your comment: Since we are a RV Forum, my questions are far different from his.....and here are mine:

  1. What is your location? (state... town )
  2. How did you hear about this Forum?
  3. Are you married or single?
  4. What subject would you like discussed?
  5. Are you a RV owner or a wanna be?
  6. Why do you visit this Forum?
  7. What, if anything, is missing on this Forum?
  8. Are you working or retired?
  9. What type of RV would you like to own?
  10. Where would you make first or next RV trip to?

Note that when leaving a comment, if you are concerned with privacy, you are free to use a nickname or alias. I understand the need and desire for privacy, and I respect yours. This is not intended in any way to be intrusive, but just an attempt to better understand our general readership so we can improve our offerings.

P.S. Those of you who regularly comment are also more than welcome to comment. I only emphasize “lurkers” above because I figure they are shy and need the extra invitation.

Thanks --- and Happy RVing!

Joella

1) West Des Moines, Iowa

2) Don't remember, I've been a member for awhile - I presume I found the forum though an Internet search

3) Single

4) I like various topics - I enjoy open ended ones that invite "conversation". I think those type of topics can really get interesting.

5) I was a RV'er but gave it up for a more stationary existence.

6) I like the ladies here and enjoy our "talks"

7) I think what's missing is participation - I know I'm not always good about commenting and will try to do better, but I don't like seeing a topic with 50 some views and only 2-3 comments. It only takes a few moments to sign in and join in the conversations ! It's lots of fun too !!!

8) I'm retired and working ! I worked for Qwest for 29 years, retired and am now working part time at Petco

9 & 10) Right now I'm happy not RV'ing but I'm sure I'll feel differently in a few months

  1. What is your location? (state... town ) I use my son's Gainesville FL address as I full time
  2. How did you hear about this Forum? I think I found you through gorving.com when I was first thinking about getting an RV. At first I lurked a lot, then contributed more. Now I am back in my winter digs and I don't seem to be on as much as I used to, but will try to be better.
  1. Are you married or single? Single now
  2. What subject would you like discussed? I love to read the tips other gals give, and love to see pictures. Also love to hear about the renovations and customization every one does. Love the stories and jokes
  3. Are you a RV owner or a wanna be? Own a 34' 1998 Pace Arrow class A
  4. Why do you visit this forum For the friendship and being able to connect with people who have the same interests as I do.
  5. What, if anything, is missing on this Forum? more people, the more diverse, the better.
  6. Are you working or retired? Retired Aug 2008 and loving it
  7. What type of RV would you like to own? I really like mine. It fits my lifestyle at this time as it is easy for me to pull my car behind. I like the idea that I do not have to get out in the rain when I pull into a campsite as I am fully self contained and can wait till the rain stops.
  8. Where would you make first or next RV trip to? I did the West this year, but plan on going up the east coast to Maine and Canada. Perhaps come back through Niagra Falls. Also would like to do a Escapees Rally as I have never been to one yet.

This was a great idea Joella, I hope new people will jump in so we can get to know them too. For all the lurkers, we really would love to meet you. The great thing about this forum is that no one is judgemental. I feel very safe here. No question is silly. I have received some great tips that have saved me big bucks. Join in!
