What a weekend. Last week I told you that our Mom and Dad's house had sold and it was a bittersweet moment. Well, my three sisters and I all met at their house and really did a lot of cleaning. On Saturday the future owners showed up and cleaned out the gutters and raked the whole yard! They brought friends over and family members and took them through the house. They were great people. Probably a couple in their late thirties or middle forties. I feel so much better now about selling the house. They are so thrilled about it. Mom and Dad's garage was a mess. A big two and a half car garage that us girls had filled with stuff and that Dad had left in there. To make matters worse there were buckets of ear corn (for the squirels) and lots of papers, styrofoam and stuff that MICE LOVE! What a stinky mess. There must have been 300 plus mice that had moved in. They were everywhere. We started in on cleaning on Sunday and the future owners and some friends showed up and helped us clean it all up. How nice was that? It was so nice to hear them all say positive things about the house. They saw past the clutter and imperfections. I feel soooo much better. Wednesday we are selling some of the stuff at an auction house. One of my sisters and I are going to go.

I heard back from the RV Coach Care and they said the new fridge would go through the door and not have to go through the windshield. Yeah! I think I am going to have them go ahead and install it now while they have it and be done with it. I thought I was going to have to save up my pennies all winter but I got a portion of estate money and I will use that. Now I just need to find the best buy for my money.

Also this week I will be helping the sister that just bought a new house get moved in. Right now she is living with me and she will be moving across town. The house she bought is move in ready. Super clean inside. The movers are coming Friday and Saturday and I will be in charge of putting things away in the kitchen.

It would be a wonderful feeling knowing your folks house already loved by the new owners. You girls did good!

You sound so much more chipper! That's great - it all sounds so much more under control, and the less overwhelming it is, the better we generally feel about things. You've accomplished so much!

How wonderful the new owners love the house as much as your entire family did!!! With them coming over to work on the place early shows they will take care of the house, and that is important to you.

Good luck at the auction sale!!

How neat the refrigerator will fit through the door--- and marvelous you can have it installed now.

I see too you are now able to reply to all posts....so you managed to fix your problem. Good for you!

You are so nice to help your sister move---that's hard work....but I can bet y'all will be fitting in some fun, laughter and sister closeness.

I am so happy things are going well!!

Happy RVing!

I'm so glad you're feeling better about selling the house - it's good to know the new family is nice and is excited about moving in !

If I'd been there with all those mice, there would have been allot of screaming !!! I'm not scared of them but they sort of freak me out - all that scurrying around.

I worked this weekend so that's about all I got done, work and regular chores. Today I took my Murphy cat to the Vet, he was having trouble peeing and he'll spend a couple of nights there. They put a catheter in and are giving him fluids to be sure his system gets all flushed out. He has those crystals in his urine that cats (especially boy cats) can get. Fortunately I keep a close eye on his "output" because I know it can be a real problem and I caught it before there was any damage done. He'll have to eat special food forever but that's OK - if that's all I need to do to keep him healthy that's fine by me. It's sure quiet here without him - Molly is missing him too ! The $900 vet bill is going to kick my hiney, but what can I do ?!?! Gotta keep the boy healthy.

That's it for me !

Trudy, I'm sure sorry Murphy is under the weather...good thing you keep a close eye on things and caught his problem early. That was certainly fortuitous for him. Yes, we'll pay an arm and leg to keep our furbabies healthy...

Hope he does get to come home when projected... Know you and Molly miss him..

Have a good 'un!!!
