Those Native Americans are a lot smarter than people give them credit for! Reminds me of a joke I received.....Lady was driving from one town to another in New Mexico on a 2 lane road and stopped to give an elderly NA a ride. She had a bottle of wine on the seat in a brown paper bag that she had bought for her husband. The elderly lady asked her "what in bag?" She answered that she had gotten some wine for her husband. Elderly lady replied "Good Trade!"

Arizona is on MST (mountain standard time) 12 months of the year. There are, however, certain areas of the state that are under different governing jurisdictions that do switch to daylight time. Ironically, I think it is the Navajo Nation or some of the other Indian reservations that switch. Need to check that out for sure. I lived in Phoenix for 15 years and believe me it can be confusing.

I liked daylight savings time when I was working, wanted more daylight after work. Now guess it doesn't matter.

I've NEVER understood how daylight savings time saves energy. There are only 24 hours in a day no matter what the clock says. It also reminds me of my money saving tip for retired folks - don't get out of bed before the sun is up and you'll save on electricity by not turning on lights etc. lol
