I know we have good prayin' women here and my neighbor, David (wife, Lynne), really could use some extras.

He's 36 yrs old and has been troubled with digestion problems the past month.  On Friday he went in for a sigmoidoscopy and the test showed a blockage that they couldn't get their scope past. They took a biopsy and results should be in on Tuesday.  In the meantime he's doing the prep tomorrow for a colonoscopy to be done on Monday.  Not sure how that's going to work as tomorrow is his wife's birthday and they had already planned a big bbq and have lots of people coming. Should be interesting to say the least.

This is a very nice family with 3 adopted children, a brother and two sisters, ages 10 - 15. They are also awaiting test results to see if Lynne's mother's test show she has cancer.

Thanks

David and Lynne sound like specially good people.  They need all the help they can get.  I'll add them to my prayer list.

I wish he and their whole family well!

I haven't talked with Lynne since she took David in for the colonoscopy around noon today. I do know they have an appt. tomorrow with a surgeon as it was already decided last Friday that surgury was definately going to happen. Their insurance has dictated that it will be done in Portland, OR. I'll keep you updated as I learn info. Lynne is also still awaiting word on her Mom's tests for lung cancer. All that waiting sure is stressful for them.

Thanks ladies for your continued prayers for this family.

Update:

David and Lynne talked to the surgeon yesterday and it was confirmed that it is colon cancer. The surgery will be a week from this Thursday. At that time they will also take out some lymph nodes to determine if it has spread, and also what treatment he'll need.

I'll bump this thread up next week to remind everyone to keep them in your thoughts and prayers on that day. Thanks again, ladies.

Thanks for the update! I hated hearing the bad news. Keep us appraised.

I have a friend who had colon cancer, and she had some lymph nodes involved too...and she is cancer free today. I will pray for that same conclusion in this case as well.

God Bless them all!
