I have a Garmin 205 and I wondered if anyone else has noticed this oddity.  I specifically wanted one with verbal directions and overall, really love her.  I call mine Ginny (Garmin).  This one little quirk just seems so bizarre.  When she is giving street directions and she has the abbreviation "dr" she prounounces it doctor instead of drive.  I would expect that this might be a common assumption for this abbreviation except for one thing - THIS IS A NAVIGATIONAL DEVICE.  How many geographical directions would include the word "doctor'?  Does anyone else have this glitch?

I would bet the recognition software thinks that dr is the abbreviation for doctor - and nobody has ever done all the QC checks on it!  I'd let Garmin know there are an awful lot of Docs out there and not as many Drives!  I have a Garmin I haven't even booted - now I want to!
