My friend, Ann, and I just returned from 3 weeks in Europe.  I took over 1000 photos and promise not to post them all!

I wanted to see the Basilica of the Holy Blood which houses a vial containing the blood of Christ.  Not realizing it is brought out every Friday I found myself able to step into a very short line to stand in front of the vial, place my hand on it and say a little prayer.  Something I never imagined being able to do.  Within a couple of minutes the church was closed for the day.  In the first photo there are stairs to the right of the photo so you are standing in front of the priest.  The second is the interior of the church.

We took a ride through the canals of Brugge.  That's me in the 1st photo.

Then we toured the Chocolate Museum always remembering our RV friends who love the stuff.  These figures are made of chocolate, naturally.

Oh, gosh!  To really be in that boat, taking those pictures.  How fortunate you are to be able to experience that!  The pictures put me to daydreaming.  Loved them! thanks!

What stunning photos, Vicki!!  How wonderful to be able to see the Basilica of the Holy Blood. The tile artwork in the church is simply awesome!  I enjoy taking those boat rides in various places too.  I was amazed at the age of the buildings in Europe.  They are far older than our nation....and made me feel as if I lived in a "throwaway world".... If something gets old, tear it to the ground and build anew.... No reverence for the old.

Thanks for sharing.  Truthfully, I wouldn't mind if you kept posting till all 1000 were eventually posted.

Happy Day!

Joella
