Thought you ladies might appreciate this low tech solution.  As you know I've been driving in mountains a lot lately and the stove top rattling was driving me crazy.  You can't turn up the radio because there usually isn't any reception. lol Anyway I looked up CW's stove toppers and they are 80 bucks.  I was going to assk you ladies if they really worked before I forked over that much dough.  Anyway drove to the Caverns today when the light bulb went off.  What if I took extra dish towels and sort of wrapped the stove top edges where they lift up from the counter. Voila!  Worked like a charm.  When I got back, did some more experimentation and wrapped the edge of towel upward to keep burner cage from rattling tomorrow.

Wifi very iffy today due to extremely high winds so will post photos of Carlsbad later.  It was so beautiful that it actually made me cry.  Sorry if this offends the non-believers out there, but I felt my spirit cry out to the Creator of all this glory

Okay what's up with this forum.  Last night I changed my password since you now have to enter it all the time and mine was a string of unrelated numbers.  Got a confirmation that it was received.  Wrote new one down( sometimes I forget this step) Today it would not allow new password and sent me e-mail with old one.

I went to Carlsbad Caverns the summer I graduated from high school and loved it.  My neighbor and I took our sons when they were about 9 and 11 and they were underwhelmed.  I think they were kind of afraid.  We walked down into the Caverns and I think it took the rest of the trip for my leg muscles to get over it.  lol

Great way to dampen the noise !!  It's always nice to use something you already have - way to go !!

I've never seen Carlsbad, but I know what you mean about crying when you see something so magnificent !   Sometimes places can really touch our soul.

I have no comment on the forum problems - guess you just have to try changing your password again ?!?!?!

Enjoy your journey :D
