When I took the front and side window drapes down to clean them yesterday, I noticed that they were really grimy looking along the top edge that makes contact with the curtain rail/track that they attach to. It looks like a dark grey-colored residue from the metal.
What would be the best product/method to use to clean this track? I was just going to use a soapy mixture (probably using Dawn dishwashing soap), but since it is a metallic type residue I was wondering if I should use some special kind of cleaner.
I'm also thinking about removing all of the little roller thingeys that slide along this rail and trying to soak/clean them somehow. Any suggestions?
Thanks for your help,
Dee in FL

Oh good grief, now I'm thinking I need to go check on our curtain rail! I bet it needs cleaned too.
Dawn seems to work pretty good for getting rid of grease so maybe it would work good for that too. Wherever the next year takes you...enjoy the ride
