I know what you mean about the picture thing. When we were in Port Isabel at Pirate's Landing, a hispanic fella walked up to us and could hardly speak English. He asked if we wanted our pictures taken and I was dubious and he smiled at me and he said for free....nice huh and I cherish that picture. Image hosted by Webshots.com
by cillie2 It was the only pic we had taken of each other. I thought you might get a kick out my dulcimer learning days....this was taken 24 years ago, back in the woodsey hippy days....smile.... Image hosted by Webshots.com
by cillie2 A friend of mine took this for her college photo developing class and I guess the teacher liked it so well he has used it as a demo for years.... Cillie Happiness is living your best dreams and God answering your prayers!!!

Cillie, I love the picture of your hippie dulcimer days. It's a picture of a beautiful woman.
When I go out on photo shooting days in Mexico I make sure that I have plenty of pesos in my pocket to hand out. I take a lot of pictures of children and their animals and pictures in some of the remote villages. I usually end up giving pesos for my pics.
When I figure out the forum I'll post some of my pics.
Sparkle, you're more patient with your man than I would have been. Him or Key West, Hmmmm...let me think about that. I want to go spend some time in the Keys. There's too much to see and do in the U.S. I'm not sure if we'll be able to do it all.
We're spending more time not driving because of gas prices. Since we're in the Columbia Gorge we thought we would stay in one site for 2 months and see everything there is to see in this area. In fact we're enjoying the down time....how lazy can one get? We're going to Vancouver, B.C. for a week at the end of the month but we're going to drive and not take the 5er. I'm still a child of the sixties when it comes to conserving. Even though we're driving a large truck and a 5er I feel I have to do something for conservation. Guilt? Who knows but at my age I shouldn't care, but I do. Lindy

I can see why that teacher would use that as a sample...that is a VERY good photo... In the class one would see in art displays..
She did good, and the subject wasn't bad either!! :-) Remember: You don't stop laughing because you grow old, You grow old because you stop laughing.

Thanks ladies for liking that dulcimer picture. The funny part is I even made that skirt out old jeans and that blouse with my treadle sewing machine. Talk about a homespun gal??? And ten years later, my neice happened to have that photo class and saw it and about died, seeing her Aunty on display... I bet Des and Kev are excited as today they go pick up their RV, I'm sure excited for them! You know the one thing I did learn quickly when I was in Mexico was the currency. I've forgotten it since, but sure it will come back quick enough. Think that is important as their dollars are so different then ours. Can't wait to see your picture's Lindy, Jenny probably is getting to be a pro by now, with the great shots she's been posting...I go through Webshots as I haven't quite tackled photo bucket yet....
