Just an interesting note to all you friendly RVers. As I am Canadian, I started a discussion on the Canadian RV Forum,on how to get my prescriptions when we are out of Canada for several months. I had 145 views on my discussion AND, get this, the only reply was from Jomilt out of Texas!! Guess where I spend ALL my time now!! You are all so friendly--tell me,have a lot of you met each other in your travels,or is your familiarity just in all the communicating you have done through this site? Whatever it is, you are a great bunch and I look forward each day to opening up this forum.

Hey Leighann, Some of us have met.. but mainly the rest of us have chatted on line.. and a few of us chat via Cell phone.. It is a great Forum as we all do share .. whether we chat or just are nosy..Who cares LOL we all try to help each other..You know, Us Gals Need To ! It's not only a Man's world ya know LOL..
Several us are planning get togethers..there's one in Louisiana in Dec 06 and one in Florida March 07..so it ought to be great.. then there are some of the Gals that are just passing through that connect too..
What ever the more the merrier !
I generally am only on the Forum short spurts lately since my dog Zeke had his injury and then follow up surgery.. so my time is well divided.. I do the Morning Summary..guess it's from my days of the good ole works force .. but it serves a good purpose cause if you only have a few minutes you get a quit in site as to what's going on in the forum and then when you can you can go check it all out..
I like to start our days with something pretty as in the real world it always isn't.. so why not sit have a cup of java (coffee, tea ) and check it all out..
Glad you enjoy our Forum. I think it's one of the nicest ones.. and homey..
Do you come to the States for the Winter Months ? I'm a Snow bird myself but from Pennsylvania.. and head to Florida for the winter months.. It's a nice relaxing get away with my critters and when my DH can fly down and can get his long getaways too..!
Enjoy your searching on here.. always neat things.. Recipes and Ideas.. we gottem all ! as they say :)
God Bless
Barbzeee....
Life is full of surprises, just go with the flow !

My North & West side neighbors in Yuma are Canadians. Anxious to get to know them when I go to my property in Oct. Most of them get their meds from Mexico.

Hey Leighann!!! It is a real treat to have you on our Forum,(and your's too)!!! :-) I'm glad that my reply to your post on the other post brought you on over here .... I love to chat, whether it be by fingers or or in the spoken word.!! Plus, I try to at least post to a Topic... I think it's just good manners to make a person feel welcome, and I feel EVERY posting should have at least one answer!! Not knocking any other states, but Texas has a reputation for being friendly...and I'm born and raised here! I think because in the "olden days" people lived SO far apart, and if you were going to be friendly and enjoy others...you'd best do it in a hurry!!
I have not been fortunate enough to meet any of these gals....YET!!! :-)
Keep on coming back... we love having you!!!

Thanks seeya_gal for that Mexico tip for meds, never thought of that. Do any of you get meds there & how does it work? Do you just take a prescription from home and fill it there? See, I am really new to this!!And if Texas is as friendly as you Jomilt--I can hardly wait to get there. :) And so I can gain a little sympathy LOL from everyone--my renovator hasn't shown up again today. Over a week now of living in a total mess, and he knows I want to go FULL TIMING!!

I go to Los Algodones, hop- skip from Yuma AZ. I park on the U.S. side where there is a big parking lot and even a campground next to the border or some people Boondock in the Desert close by. Just walk across the border and you have ALOT of Pharmacies. I usually go to The Purple Pharmacy and get your Tequila next door to boot! ( they don't sell booze before 11:00 A.M.) I just walk in and tell them what I want and they hand it to me and pay less than the states and also get more.
Alot of the folks who live or stay in AZ for the Winter go over the border and they come in droves! Makes it so nice that you spend the extra money you saved on a nice lunch there and be entertained. I see ALOT of Canadians in AZ. As soon as you cross the border the Mexicans are hounding you to go to their Pharmacies and hand you cards to go to them.

Do be prepared to get your medications from a nationwide pharmacy like Wal*mart..because mine and DH prescriptions I cannot get in Mexico...I am supposing they carry only the "popular ones", as I do see people carrying out big bagsful!!! You do want all bases covered, and want to be able to carry on with "Plan B" if A fails!!
Jenny is right.. they will just sell you the drugs needed, without your bringing in a prescription, ...as they have a Dr. "IN" the pharmacy to write a prescription if needed..
I am sending LOADS of sympathy for the renovator's not showing again... Guess we should send out a posse???
Happy Travelin All! And you as well, Leighann -- since you are doing the traveling by "armchair" for now..
Bye all!! :-)

Leighann, doubt if you can get your meds filled at a walmart in the US if it's from a doc in Canada....Couldn't get my US meds filled at Canadian Walmart. Maybe on-line? A lot of folks do that, and just have them shipped to either cg or general delivery wherever you are. Sis gets hers that way. Good Luck!

Thanks Sharon, I sure am getting lots of helpful info here. I sure can tell by the times you post your messages which side of the country you're in--I stay up late and California is one that hits my time schedule :)
