Joella, It looks like he is calming down -- 35 mph now. As long as the Gulf is not too hot, it should be okay for all of us. I lost my husband to Charley and am always surprised at my reaction to the news that a storm is forming. I am not the nervous type. I just plan ahead and then it is in God's hands. I hope these old hands can take the white knuckles. I have learned to pull off somewhere when I am tired or stressed at the traffic. I traveled US highways this summer and somewhere down the road is a Walmart or McDonalds. Thanks for the sharing. Margaret Margaret

Marga, I'm so sorry to hear that about your DH..One of my friends lost his wife the same way..
I still get white knuckled, and I'm driving mine over 25+ years.. I think that's something each of us share.. I started towing, after all these year of always leasing a car..said, "I'm gonna do my own" and the first few miles and pulling in for my fill up was a "Gulp" but I got there and done it..
We all do share those horrendous times..but soon, they just get the little jitters and they go away..but every now and then..They reach up and say, "Don't forget me " LOL
Looking forward to meeting you in Florida this coming winter...Lord Willin !
God Bless Barbzeee

Margaaret....I am SO sorry you lost your Charley due to a storm...that certainly explains your getting upset and wishing to run for the hills when a storm is on the way!!! Don't blame you!! I hear you when you say you are not the nervous type, but leave things in God's hands...However, your loss does make a LOT of difference in how you feel and cope...Don't worry...you haven't turned into a "Nervous Nellie"....you are just normal!!! Grin..
I am so glad you are making the effort to continue on with your RVing..and traveling..and adding to your life!! There are hills and vallies in all our lives...but I must continue on with faith that all will go well and I'm going to have a happy, joyful, exciting life.. We just find other standards to base our happiness on.. Sigh...tough, isn't it??
Chat with you later...Have a good, good day,Margaret!!
