Hi Everyone, We have been so busy doing renos on the house getting it ready to sell(to go fulltiming of course) that I haven't been able to spend much time checking out this site. I smiled when I read your lists of where you want to be able to go. Since I live in Alberta,we have seen a lot of the "up north" places that you want to see.You won't be disappointed when you finally get to these places!! Our aim is to see more in the south west!! There is so much out there to see, and it seems to be taking forever to get all our affairs in order so we can finally take off. We want to go into Oregon, Arizona and just keep wandering. I will keep an eye on this site for any places to visit. We have so much to learn. Hopefully, by the time the frost starts sitting on the top of the ground we will be on our way. By the way--really enjoy your chats when I finally get time to sit a minute.

Frost sure does hit earlier here Jomilt--that's why we hope to explore Texas too. Right now our weather is hot hot-but I am not complaining, because where we live, we have been shorted out on summer weather for so many years-had forgotten what a hot summer was like! The other question I have for you experienced RVers-is about workcamp--does it work well for you who have done it and how do you qualify to do it?

Let me get some info together and I'll get back to you.. Probably by a Private Message. If you don't get a notice you have a private message, as sometimes that feature can be on the blitz... click on My Inbox, which is located right above where you are reading this...
Later, Leighann!! Joella

OK...I sent a Private Message... EVERYONE qualifies for workkamping because I would imagine every job description available is out there!!
Put Workkamping in a Google Search and you'll see how many you will come up with...
And this info leads you on and on down "rabbit trails" of jobs, and it spreads like a spider web of info..
Enjoy your search...Just don't end up getting lost, and forgetting us....ha!!
Hurry back!!

Leighann you HAVE to go to San Antonio to the River Walk and the Alamo in Texas. Go slow down the Oregon coast so you can just drink up the beauty of the coast...it's awesome! Arizona can be dry but in the Wintertime is is a very busy place from all the Snowbirds. I did not realize how beautiful the desert is till it bloomed! Now I'm craving different cactus plants to put on my lot in of Yuma AZ. Sedona and the Red rock area, Bryce Canyon are wonderful areas too. I've gone through the West Coast now I'm itching to go to the East Coast :) Seeya down the road, Jenny & Dan FT in 40 ft Alfa Seeya tow/w a Jeep Cherokee www.Sheppardsjourneys.blogspot.com kitties: Biff, Felix & Sasha Mio

Interesting--because Yuma is definately one of our destinations--where do you stay there? Several people from our area go to Yuma and it seems very popular. We want to stay about a month per location until we find one that we want to spend more time. Love the suggestions you gave too--certainly appreciate all suggestions. Will go to your blogsite too.

When we go to Yuma, we stay in this park in Winterhaven, CA. McCoy RV Park..it's right across the border, and is a really nice park. They have larger lots and green grass..which is a plus in that area! They LIKE for you to water the grass when you stay there. $230 month, plus electric.
It has a very nice pool and hot tub, bbq and eating area, air conditioned laundry, a recreation building with 2 Internet modem lines, large TV and did have some exercise equipment, library and kitchen ..May even have upgraded to wi-fi by now. Rates are more reasonable than many.
I really enjoy this park... only 1 mile from Yuma..

Just lots more elbow room here and is one of my favorites to return to.
Gotta add this PS: Jenny is right, ya gotta see San Antonio and the nearby Texas Hill Country! San Antone is my favorite big city in Texas.. we live 150 miles from there and make it there about once a year. The River Walk is really enjoyable and if you ever do go.... there are MANY things to see.
Have a great day..happy travelin'..:-)

Is the campground an adult one?It sounds really nice, the kind we will be looking for--however, we will be travelling with my 10 year old grandson, so need family campgrounds. Thanks Jomilt for all your helpful info--I've been checking into a lot that you sent.
