Good morning to you Barbzee Know what you mean about those hungry critters looking for viddles while we are on the puter. I have a seven toed monster Image hosted by Webshots.com
by cillie2 who likes to bite me in the buns every morning to get me moving. That's what I get for having a puter chair with holes in it. The looker was a lookie loo and the DH told him to come back on the weekend for the open house. For anyone who wants to see the cabin this is it before we fixed it up. If you tap on this site it should take you to all of the work we've done and give you an idea why RV life is looking so good to us. Image hosted by Webshots.com

Hey Now.... Marys Dream, I wonder if it counts if it were built by two North Carolinans??? It even comes with a good ole boy and his wife on the back five acres from NC to. The sweetest neighbors I have ever had and the hardest part I will have is saying goodbye to them when it does sell! I'm just finally reading the forum today - slept in this morning (unintentionally - but must have needed the sleep - 9+ hours worth!) - then my fellow workamper and I headed out around noon and went sight seeing in the mountains.
Our trip was planned around the Mount Washington Hotel - wow, what a grand place. Built in 1902 and gigantic - we sat on the verandah, then went to the restaurant for lunch and sat on the verandah there also - overlooking one of the golf courses, some of the tennis courts - Mount Washington as the back drop.
Then we drove back a different route through the mountains - wow - just beautiful - stopped in a town that has an LL Bean outlet store - a couple stores down was a Hanes/Leggs, etc store - just went in - cuz you never know when you need more undies - went upstairs - and touched this robe - and I can't begin to tell you - it's the softest, most wonderful robe I have EVER touched. Yep, I had to have it - then, I thought, oh, don't look at the price - even at an outlet store - and ladies, it was discounted to $19.95! - Then they rang me up and gave me another 10% off! So $17.95 - and I have the most wonderful robe I've ever owned. Guess what - my traveling partner bought one also!
Tomorrow we plan on getting up and about a tad earlier - and the agenda is to head to Vermont - going to head to the Ben & Jerry's tour - and sample some ice cream :) - see what there is to see on the way there/back.
Hope you all have great days. Smiling is contagious - try it!

We're back on the road again and tonight I have wifi - yeah!! Otherwise I've been limited to my Verizon phone after 9 p.m. and for a few nights no connection at all, so I'm lovin' this! Had a great trip so far finding interesting places along the way like Bardstown, KY, where we stayed in My Old Kentucky Home State Park, went to the Stephen Foster musical, visited a couple of Kentucky bourbon distilleries, etc., etc. Great area! Then the St. Louis area where we finally visited the arch after passing by it so many times. Definitely worth the time. Tonight we are in St. Joseph, MO. Got in this afternoon early enough to visit the Jesse James home. Lots of great museums and history here. We're trying to decide if we want to spend another day so we can visit some of the other places. Then we're headed across the very southern part of Nebraska so we can finally include it in the list of states we've visited. What can I say, it's the small things that keep us amused!! We are enjoying our aimless travels across the country towards Colorado Springs. It's taken me forever to catch up on everyone's posts and so many newbies - that's great!

Hi Gypsy Sue, I loved Kentucky. I sure was surprised when I visited it though. I always thought of Daniel Boone and Mountain people, was I in for a shock. All of those beautiful brick homes, Kentucky Blue Grass pastures and white fences. I did hit a few little towns where the Amish were running the stores and using their horse and Buggies to get around that was fun. I also went to Stephen Foster's house I believe that is the same as what you are talking about. I play the fiddle and love all of the songs he has written. Great songwriter. I wanted to ask you about the Verizon phone thing, are you hooking up to your cell phone to dial out? I've been reading a lot about that and I am trying to figure out if that's the best route as I have Verizon cell phone already. I know there is the mobile hookup thing that connects to the PC and Cell and then don't you have several choices National Access, Data pay by the minute, or Quick to Net? I'm trying to figure out which is the cheapest and best to go with. I'm also considering the wireless PC card, but know that is $59 more a month on top of my cell phone payment already. Could you let me know what you are using and how much it cost per month if you don't mind. Thanks alot Cillie a Newbie Happiness is living your best dreams and God answering your prayers!!!
