I was thinking about all the various stages we are at and thought it would be fun to check on the status of everyone.
I plan on fulltiming in November of this year. I think I'll head for Florida for a month, whether or not I get a Workamping job. Then maybe go to Colorado in the Spring, hopefully with a job on a Dude Ranch.

Making the move from the house to the RV now. But won't really start traveling until Sept 7 (DH's Check-up) then it's to California for a niece's wedding Oct 7. Going to take all four weeks to get there. Full timing here we come.
going to travel CJ

At the stick house now in Texas..Planning a trip to Nebraska and other states to and from there for August/Sept.
Also planning a big one for next year... Want to take a month going up... then go on the Alaska Inland Passage Cruise..then a month or so back..
Doing research on cruises, companies and prices now.
With this SLOW connection we have due to old phone lines that is a hassle and a half!!! Stomps on my last nerve bad, after a while...A SHORT while!!! :)

My status is a retired wannabe... but for now just an occassional weekend camping warrior. Our next weekend trip will be a dog event (July)down south in Del Mar, CA ( www.wagsforwishes.com ) and we will be staying at Lake Guojome (inland Oceanside). Not really much of a lake, more like a large pond, but it doesn't take much to impress us city dwellers.

Hidy,Pat! Good you are going to enjoy the dog event in Del Mar.
How was the dog performance last month? Did y'all do that to raise funds for the Living Free Animal Shelter in Mountain Center?
Know what ya mean about a large pond making city folk happy....I'm a country girl...but "water" just relaxes me...I just "ooze out"... :)

Still stuck in a 9 to 5, building a beautiful home to one day sell and full time. For now, we are weekend warriors adventuring every single minute we can. The RV is the sanity pod that gets us thru the work weeks.

I have sold my house and bought a "small" home in MO.
When I get settled I will start to look for Class C/B
motorhomes. Then I will travel for several weeks, go back to my home, take care of business and take off
again. This fall, my daughter and I will be renting RV's so I will know for certain what I want. I think she has the travel bug.
