Are we a breed apart? How interested are you about Angelina Jolie's baby? According to the media we should all be besides ourselves with excitement. I think the only people with much interest in it are the media themselves. This has nothing to do about RV-ing, but I can't help feel we are all too sensible to go along with this hype.

Well, I could put another spin on the story of Angelina and Brad - Angelina took up with a married man. Brad dumped his wife very publicly showing no mercy in humilating her. Showed he really was a good guy by adopting Angelina's adopted children. Angelina got pregnant and had his baby. Brad's former wife went on to a career boost.
Probably headlines next year - Angelina dumps Brad for a married man(yet unknown) sues Brad Pitt for continued child support. Brad's former wife wins Oscar.
The rest of the world reads these headlines too. They must think we all are crazy over here!!

Throw another log on the camp-fire. Good point! Also Tom Cruise making so much of his religion, but has he legally married whats her name? Shows how interested I am, i can't even remember her name. I thought it was a disgrace that on Memorial Day, when we have so many people grieving, that this event was the headlines! Get real!

Agree with both of y'all... I sincerely hope there are some of the younger generation to whom old fashioned values and morals are IMPORTANT!!
Our poor old world sometimes seem to be going to He** in a Handbasket....and this is not good!!

This being Memorial Day...my thoughts were on our fallen heroes...and those preserving our freedoms as I write...However, our newspapers headlines and front page stories were all about Barry Bonds hitting his whatever number...home run...
How could that be important on this day...and who cares anyway...I am deeply disappointed (and disgusted). But....my flag is hanging outside as a reminder to those that pass...This is the day we should remember those that made & make it possible for us to live the lifestyle we do (and maybe take for granted). Anyhow, just my 2 cents....

It's unreal the amount of crap in the papers and on TV. When we moved here to our new mobile home..LOL I declined renewing our cable just because of this!! I want to know about important news but the gossip is just out of hand!

This is why you folks appeal to me. I'm a bit conservative, never let my kids play video games at home or too much tv and computer. We say grace at the table, but we also respect others and their beliefs too. But I really believe that my two kids were impacted and behaved wisely because of our choices. My Lala(lauren) married a fellow in the Navy last Christmas, and I am so proud because he really wants to represent and care for his country and freedom.
Life can be very confusing but when one puts there head on the pillow at night and sleeps peacefully, it is for a reason isn't it. Sounds like ya all have similar ideas and values. I think we all need to get together and PARTY!

I guess we all are on the same page with disgust with headlines on Memorial Day and what hits the news as important or sensational. I did have a nice experience today though - workampers had get-together with owners. Halfway through one of the workers stood up and said would you mind if we all form a circle, join hands and sing God Bless America for our soldiers and veterans and of course we all did. It really was great.

And some times we can't break tradition. Here in Enosburg, Today is Memorial Day. The Band will march and the service will be held in the park followed by the chicken BBQ. I wonder how many other places didn't change the date?
I just thinks it's wonderful, not matter where or when just about everyone stops and says thank you in their own way.
As for the headlines in the paper (didn't see them) but I think most of us say "who cares" People should treat movie stars like the circus. It comes to town, we laugh and are thrilled by the shows - then it goes away! My two cents!

This is a bit off topic but this morning on the morning show I listen to sometimes on the radio the male shock jocks are already counting down how long until baby shiloe is 18 so she is legal stripper age...
I couldnt believe my ears.. it' was funny in one way and just gross in another.
