It's going to be a great day .. and of course we have a little cook out planned..Just DH and the Critters..being that Zeke is still with his cast I felt it better not to have family over..too much excitement for him.. I hope you all are enjoying being with friends and family this weekend.. and that you'll all take the time out to say a prayer for all those we lost and for all those still protecting us ! May your highways be safe ones and your travels be filled with dreams come true..

Happy Memorial Day to all of you too. Remembering our young men and women who have protected us and others. God bless them. Enjoy the day. Am planning to meet the other workampers for a cook-out later today. They seem like a real nice bunch. Barzeee -trying to come up with something to bring!!! All the usual ones are covered. Wish you could look in my cupboard and design a recipe!!! I'll think of something but it hasn't come to me yet - Sausage, macaroni salad? Served Cold? Add mayonnaise? My spices are at a minimum. Waiting for the light to come on and some days it doesn't :) Have a great day all. Marysdream Its all good!!!!!

Hope you gals are having a great Memorial Day, and of course my deepest thanks to all that have served! My oldest son has been home from Iraq for 5 months now and I have a new-found respect for the families of soldiers as a result!!
My friend and I just returned from a 3-day camp out near home to make sure all the systems in the new mh are a go. I'm so happy to report NO problems this time and getting the itch. Retirement is only 4 weeks away and the lure of the road is incredible.
I still can't wait each day to check out this site and read the posts. I so hope to be able to meet some of you ladies on the road!

Sad Day for Caming Family. Folks we know had wanted top get a camper for years. Last week they got a pop up and went camping with my daughter and her friends family. The family with the pop up were there as well with a beautiful 2 yr old girl. They were sitting around the fire wayching the stars and well you know, some folks learn the hard way about camp fires. The little one was in her car seat? and it tipped into the fire. She is severly burned as her diaper went up in flames. My daughter is so sad. What a horrible thing. The family were air lifter to Boston Burn Center. We must all be so carefull. clearly she was way to close to the fire but what a difficult thing for folks to learn. The couple were also drinking, but they are a great couple and not drunks that's for sure. I'll fill you in more as I hear more. Kath

oh, how horrible. I will be praying for the family and for the beautiful little girl. Sometimes we let our guard down too much because of the settings we are in when we camp. We must always remember, the rules we have for home should apply to a campground too. At home, I am sure they would never have allowed their child to get close to a fire. Our settings on campgrounds many times lure us into a feeling of "nothing can happen in this beautiful place." Sincerely yours, Marslet

Happy camping, Marslet
